The season 3 finale of “Love Is Blind” was released on Wednesday, and fans weren’t too surprised to learn that Zanab Jaffrey rejected Cole Barnett at the altar.
Their tumultuous relationship was filled with ups and downs. After saying he was more physically attracted to the other contestants on their honeymoon, it seems the two can’t get over their initial hurdles.
Things got even more tense between the two during the special, where Zanab claimed that Cole often kept an eye on what she ate, which caused her to develop an eating disorder while they were filming.

Zanab is very candid about the struggles she went through growing up, including the death of both her parents. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zanab said that she has undergone therapy “a few times” in her life and is a “huge supporter of therapy,” saying that “everyone can benefit from it.”
The Netflix reality star said she embarked on a “journey of self-love” after he left her at the altar. “I left the relationship badly and broken and I started going to therapy,” she explained, though she said that she “didn’t seek help for an eating disorder.”

“I definitely reintroduced food as soon as possible, and my metabolism and body hated me for it,” she says. “That’s something that was very much in the past, but it’s very real now, and that’s why it’s important to talk about it. I know that it’s a very real thing that people deal with, so I always want to be open about it because it makes them less taboo.”
Instead of going to specialized therapy to treat her eating disorder, Zanab said, “I just spent time with my family.” Zanab explained, “I have always been a good eater. I really enjoy the food. I’m not the girl who turns down dessert. I’m not a cutie pie girl. I’ve never been that person. So it really shocked my system.”

“I can’t stress how much my body was, my metabolism hated me after that, and I gained a lot of weight when I started eating again and eating regularly, but we got it stable,” she continued. “Honestly, it was family and therapy that helped me realize that I had to let go of those behaviors and restructure the way I thought about myself and treated myself.”

The 32-year-old said that she and Cole “don’t talk” and “don’t talk.” During the meeting, Zanab said that many of Cole’s “hurtful comments” were not actually shown on screen, including numerous body-shaming incidents.
Another thing he said wasn’t filmed was Cole “confessing” that he tried to kiss a girl, and get her number, while they were at each other’s bachelor parties. During the reunion special, Cole appeared shocked by her claims and bluntly accused her of “lying” and “making up” the story.

In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zanab explained more about the shocking incident. “That was the information Cole offered me. That’s not third-party information, that’s not over the phone,” he said. “I don’t know if it made the reunion, but he said that I had said that there would be no drama at the wedding, and I said it.”
“But 20 minutes later, we were just talking and he shared that he tried to kiss a girl at his bachelor party,” continued Zanab. “He said, ‘I’m getting married. I want to kiss another girl. Can I kiss you?’ Apparently, he said, ‘No, I didn’t do the trick.’ I was like, ‘Oh, how nice. There are good women in this world.’ Something inside me made me ask, ‘Cole, did you get her phone number?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, I did, but I didn’t do anything with it.'”

Fans immediately began to take sides, with some viewers poking holes in his story. If the girl wasn’t “cheating” then why would she give Cole her number? There were also no girls at their rodeo bachelor party, even though Zanab claimed the men hitched a ride to another bar after the initial party.
However, one thing fans can agree on is that Cole and Zanab can’t seem to get past their initial incompatibility, and are better off finding a partner that better suits their needs.
“Love Is Blind” Season 3 and the reunion special are now available to stream on Netflix. A release date for season 4, which has reportedly already been filmed, has yet to be announced.
