Jackie Bonds opens up about vulnerable subjects.
The “Love Is Blind” season four actress and 27-year-old dental assistant has faced a lot of social media criticism regarding the fallout from her relationship with ex-fiancé Marshall Glaze. Bonds begins dating his former connection from the pod, Josh Demas.
Fans of the Netflix dating show saw Bonds and Glaze break up long before they could even make it to the altar. Viewers saw Glaze’s close friend, Brett Brown, tell him that Bonds had not attended a bridal shop for her wedding dress. Bonds apparently skipped out to have coffee with Demas. Bonds later spoke out against the Netflix edit, claiming her relationship with Glaze had ended before she went out with her current man.
During last weekend’s reunion, viewers caught up with Bonds and Demas via Zoom; the pair were not present in the studio, opting instead for a virtual interview. The meeting’s host, Vanessa Lachey, spoke at length to the team.
Almost a week later, Bonds revealed why he and his partner didn’t join their “Love Is Blind” co-stars.
Bonds Reveals He Broke Up With Glaze Before Famous Coffee Date With Demas
The “Love Is Blind” star recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her controversial breakup with Glaze.
He insisted that his coffee shop date with Demas didn’t happen while Glaze was fitted with his tux. Even though he was having a major moment, Bonds had decided he wanted out of the relationship while waiting for Glaze to return.
“When Marshall was in his clothes, I wasn’t on the date. The date is on a different date,” he explained. “When he was at the summons, I was actually in the townhouse waiting for him to come back so I could break up with him.”
She later insisted that she had no regrets about her relationship with her ex-fiancé and that she had broken off the relationship before going out on that date.
“And when I went on the date with Josh, I had already had that conversation with Marshall. We’re already separated,” Bonds said. He also added about their relationship, “There’s no beef, I don’t have a problem with him. If he has a problem with me, that’s fine, but I’ve moved on, and I’m not worried about that situation anymore.” (via Entertainment Weekly, per The Blast)

The duo almost appeared at last weekend’s reunion, which didn’t sit well with viewers.

“Jackie tells Marshall to ‘be brave, get bored,’ and then he’s a COWARD to show up at the reunion [sad face] ???? Forgive me??????? Courage… He hasn’t changed a bit.,” another viewer weighed.

Bond Shares The Real Reason Why He Didn’t Attend The Meeting In Person
Almost a week after the controversial live meeting aired, Bonds opened up and revealed why he and his partner were absent from the live meeting, which started more than an hour later than promised due to technical issues.
The reality star insisted that it wasn’t her choice to skip the reunion. Instead, he claimed Netflix was behind his absence.
Bonds spoke to The Wrap, telling the publication, “[Netflix] told me to talk to a psychologist, and it was the psychologist who told us we weren’t going,” he said. “That’s how it goes down.”
“They called for a three way [confrence call]and they’re like, ‘Oh, because of your mental health, we don’t think you should come to that meeting.”
He also claimed both were given short notice.
“It was like a two-day recovery. They told us the day before [the reunion],” Bond continued. (per The Wrap, via Us Weekly)
Bonds later took to his Instagram to tell his followers that he plans to “take accountability” for his actions towards his ex. She reiterated that she had been faithful to Glaze during their relationship. She also thanks him for confirming their breakup before her date with Demas.
