‘Love Is Blind’s Paul Peden ‘Hates To See’ THIS Happen To Micah and Irina!

“Love Is Blind” star Paul Peden speaks out!

Viewers got to know Peden during the fourth season of the massively successful Netflix reality dating show.

The 29-year-old environmental scientist bonded with fellow contestant Micah Lussier in the pod, and eventually popped the question to the 27-year-old marketing manager.

However, outside the pod, Lussier’s reputation with his “Love Is Blind” co-stars has been repeatedly called into question after he and his friend Irina Solomonova, often seem to enjoy displaying classic ‘bad girl’ behavior towards their co-stars.

Lussier’s past romantic relationship with Kwame Appiah was also frequently mentioned and depicted on screen throughout the season, as was Solomonova’s flirtatious behavior towards her best friend’s fiancé, Peden.

Both Lussier and Solomonova have publicly apologized, but online criticism of both women continues nearly a month after the fourth season was released.

Peden, who was still engaged to Lussier at the time of the post, finally addressed her ongoing social media distance with her fiancé and BFF.

Lussier Apologizes For Displaying ‘Emotional Immaturity’ On Instagram

Peden’s bride-to-be discussed his behavior on her Instagram Story late last month.

In the text post, he assured followers that he had “privately apologized” to everyone he had “hurt on the show by my hands.”

Lussier adds, “The emotional immaturity is on display,” and assures readers that he vows to “grow out of it.”

“To the audience I hurt, I apologize for having provoked many of you with my behavior. Seeing that person on screen will make me feel the same anger,” he added.

Solomonova Reprimands Her ‘Immature And Naive’ Behavior

Pod-bff Lussier also issued an apology via social media.

Solomonova, 26, took to her Instagram to post a video discussing her behavior earlier this month.

In addition to apologizing to the audience, Solomonova addressed each contestant individually and added, “I’m really sorry, really. I want to add value to people, and I want to make people feel seen, and who I am on the show is the complete opposite of that person.”

Both women would later explain their behavior in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, attributing it to survival tactics while in the pod.

“For us, it really helps to have some sense of normalcy,” Lussier told the outlet. “Can laugh, joke and joke, and, maybe sometimes the joke doesn’t work or maybe it doesn’t look the best, but we need it at the moment to feel like normal people. Because you are part of this unspeakable experience. To be able to shed some light on a difficult subject is very helpful.”

Solomonova added, “Mechanism overcame me and Micah laughed it off. And I’ll honestly say on the record, 100 percent, I didn’t mean to hurt anybody. [Hearing] that I hurt people’s feelings really hurt my heart…” he explained.

While we won’t spoil whether or not Peden tied the knot with Lussier, she still defended her fiancé and her friend before the finale aired.

He sat down with E! News to share his thoughts on the onslaught of negative attention they receive.

When asked if he felt the criticism both received was justified, Peden told the outlet, “Yeah, it’s a tricky one. I hate seeing it. Like, I know they made mistakes, but they don’t deserve such heavy criticism. It’s not fair, it’s not right.”

“When you receive hundreds of thousands of death threats and [people] if you’re dead, that’s not… no… they know they made a mistake, right, and they’ve admitted it, and I think that’s all you can ask of someone,” he continued. “

You know like, you don’t want to keep punishing someone beyond what’s necessary to make them realize they’ve made a mistake and move forward better. Anything beyond that is just malicious,” he added. “It’s hard to see.”

Fans will soon see if Paul Peden and Micah Lussier have any unfinished business to deal with during the live reunion on Sunday, April 16!
