Paul Peden continues to explain his time on “Love Is Blind.”
The 28-year-old environmental scientist has spoken and explained a bit about her time on the Netflix reality show since the fourth season reunion aired live on Sunday, April 16. First, Peden expressed her frustration with the host of the reunion, Vanessa Lachey, because she felt she had questioned her and her ex-fiancé, Micah Lussier about their breakup.
Lussier and Peden are the only couple standing this season who didn’t say “I do” at the altar.
The reality star was later questioned by TMZ about the couple’s second attempt at a relationship. Following the interview, Peden took to his Instagram story to issue some clarification on the statement he made in the video. Lussier, 27, also expanded on her ex through her own Instagram story later.

The former couple admitted to dating after filming for the season ended during a live reunion. They insisted that their reconciliation didn’t last long, and Peden later claimed in his TMZ interview that Lussier had broken off their relationship for good.
Peden spoke to TMZ cameras at the airport and provided more information about the two’s attempts to reunite.
“It didn’t last long,” she recalls of their relationship. “I went to visit[ed] him and after I came back to Seattle, he was like, decided on it, and I was just like, ‘Okay.'”
Peden claims Lussier “immediately went to Europe with some random people, a random guy, and I was like ‘Okay, cool.'”
Regarding the famous moment where her ex-fiancé asked her to be the one to answer first at the altar, she told the outlet that she didn’t want to believe Lussier was intentionally trying to make her worse.
“I hate to think that’s true,” he replied after saying it was “probably.”
“But I would say the chances are not zero, you know,” he concluded.

Peden then saw fit to post the clip to his Instagram story and elaborate on his statement.
“Listen yall, I want to explain,” he wrote. “We broke up at that point and he’s entitled to meet whoever, and so am I,” she said, referring to the aforementioned European vacation. “And the vacation wasn’t until a few months after they started dating and we had broken up. Just because it hurts me doesn’t mean it’s wrong,” Peden concluded the post.
Lussier also wanted to share his thoughts. He reposted Peden’s statement to his own story and provided his own views in a separate slide.

The reality star insisted it was time for her to move on from their relationship.
“Realistically,” Lussier began, “there’s a ton that goes on between Paul and I that of course not everyone gets to see or experience. Before AND after the show. There’s true love, and with true love comes real wounds,” he insisted.
“And that’s our business,” he continued. “And for now, I’ll keep it that way – and hope he’ll do the same. Time to move on,” Lussier concluded, with a heart emoji.
Neither has publicly revealed whether they are currently dating anyone else.
Lussier also recently defended his friend Shelby, who appeared throughout the season. She’s been open about her dislike for her close male friend, and the internet has repeatedly discussed her feelings about Shelby’s treatment of both Peden and Lussier.
Shelby was caught on camera during Peden’s wedding and Lussier said he wished she was a “drunk” and stated he “wanted” the wedding to go south.
The Blast recently covered Twitter’s in-depth reaction to the moment as well.
“I think the thing with Shelby is that she doesn’t take anything for granted,” Lussier explained to People Magazine. “I think he’s blunt, but he’s also my person,” she explained.
“I think everything he does comes from love,” he said. “And he didn’t want me to get hurt. He’s been through every heartache I’ve been through, and he’s not going to let it happen again.”
“If he didn’t think Paul was the right person, he would have said something,” Lussier continued. “But I had to take everything he said, of course, with a grain of salt because he didn’t know our whole story,” he also said. (via The Blast, per Yahoo!)
As of this writing, Shelby has yet to publicly address his behavior or any social media criticism of him.
