Matt Roloff started Thanksgiving early with his family, and what better way than a boat cruise around town?
It’s that time of year again, and fans of the TLC reality show “Little People Big World” are no doubt eager to see how their favorite TV stars shop. The patriarch of the Roloff family has taken the lead and given his fans a glimpse of his decline.
The television personality who got down on one knee and accepted a yes from his longtime girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, earlier this year also told his fans what to expect in the new season of the TV show premiering soon on TLC.
Matt Roloff Spends Quality Time With His Family On A Pre-Thanksgiving Cruise
The reality TV star is gearing up for the festive season and taking time out with her family for a scenic cruise before the Thanksgiving celebrations begin. Matt shared a photo from the fun trip, featuring him, his mother and his fiancee’s mother and captioned it:
“Enjoying a pre-Thanksgiving cruise with my mom, Caryn, and her parents, Fun Fun…. #lovelove to all.”
She looked radiant in the picture as fans flocked to comment on the beautiful portrait to pour their praises. One fan wrote, “Looks amazing enjoying every minute of the ocean!!! @mattroloff Happy Thanksgiving ?,” as another commented: “Awesome ?.”
“Have fun. Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll,” another fan added as a curious user asked where the star was headed on the cruise.
The cruise appears to be Matt and Caryn’s first as an engaged couple after he popped the question in April, seven years after his divorce from ex-wife Amy Roloff was finalized. Matt happily revealed to TLC:
“After six wonderful years together, I asked Caryn to marry me, and she said yes! Our plan is to enjoy our engagement and we look forward to a simple but elegant wedding in 2024.”
The Blast notes that the reality star and her former employee began their romance in 2017 with Matt moving in with her four years later. Matt and Caryn revealed their relationship status in the 17th season of “Little People, Big World” when the entrepreneur shared that:
“Caryn has been the farm manager at Roloff Farms for several years, and we have a great working relationship. And we are officially dating.”
The 62-year-old continued that the decision to date Caryn came after he did a lot of soul-searching and that she offered him a great friendship, which he didn’t have in his first marriage to Amy.
As for Amy, she moved in with Chris Marek, a real estate agent, after meeting at a drag and singles drawing night. Amy and Marek became engaged in 2019 and married in an intimate ceremony held at Roloff Farms in 2021.
Speaking of the farm, Jeremy and Zach, the twin sons Matt shares with Amy, accuse Caryn of influencing their father’s refusal to sell part of his farm to them.
This decision left them estranged, as Zach and his wife Tori revealed on the show’s season 23 premiere.
Motivational Speaker Spills Details About ‘LPBW’ Season 25
The drama between Matt and his son has affected the show in a big way as the author revealed to fans that his son will not appear in the 25th season of “LPBW.”
The news comes in line with his son’s decision to quit the show and also Zach’s health challenges following emergency brain surgery in February. Matt confirmed they wrapped filming for the new season in August, and it will cover Zach’s ongoing recovery and other dwarf-related health issues.
Well, Zach isn’t the only one facing health challenges as Matt went through a “tough time” in May and posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed to that effect. The father of four wrote in the caption:
“Went in for what I thought was a routine upper endoscopy to check my esophagus… When things didn’t go as planned and the Doc told Caryn ‘we’re having some complications’ it turns out I had some unexpected twists and turns leading to the stomac[h].”
After his son failed to buy his farm, the serial businessman turned it into a short-term rental. He uploaded a picture of himself standing in front of the building, explaining the process of renting it in the caption:
“If any families out there want a front row seat and VIP access to the @rolofffarms Pumpkin Patch. (see all the fun right from your front porch). We had the last weekend available to stay in the mansion. Best suited for large family groups and reunions. Hope to see you on the wagon trail. link to itrip in bio.”
