Machine Gun Kelly isn’t afraid of a little ink!
The multi-talented singer — whose real name is Colson Baker — is completely covered in tattoos, including some large-scale paintings that we imagine took a lot of patience, time and pain to complete. Even so, he’s added new ink to the collection, and this time, he’s offering some details about his inspiration to his legions of fans.
The Reason Machine Gun Kelly Got Her New Tattoo Is More Enticing To Her Fans
Known for his cross-genre duality of alternative rock with hip hop and various body tattoos, MGK has earned quite a reputation in the music industry. However, he proves that there is a deeper side to him through a new tattoo adorning his leg, inspired by Nigihayami Kohakunushi, otherwise referred to as Haku.
The character won millions of hearts as the deuteragonist in the 2001 fantasy anime, “Spirited Away,” where he sometimes transforms from human to his dragon form. MGK chose to draw Haku’s dragon form, which usually features a teal and mint green mane, with a scaly white body and claw-like feet, and immediately showed it to his 1.5 million Twitter followers.

As he placed the image of the tattoo on the left, he added a screenshot detailing how Haku effectively switches between “kind and supportive” and “strict and stern” on the right. The “Bad Things” hitmaker also highlighted how she relates to the character through her caption, write:
“I got Haku tattooed on my leg last night for two reasons: she’s a river spirit so her elemental power is mostly water (like my emotions because they’re in Pisces) and I connect with her every time I watch a spirit go, I stick a light on it and it reflects my feelings in this world.”
In his follow-up tweet, the “ex-best friend of mine” singer. admit that while his third reason for getting the illustration is “probably the most important,” he’s saving it for “a podcast or something.”
Fans of the rapper quickly stormed the replies to share their reactions, with this one pouring out, “your brain is so beautiful, I love your meaning tattoos and your reason for them. I can only dream of being as deep and thoughtful as you.”
“That means so much and it looks so good❤️?,” a second fan tweetedas the third typed“I really like it. You get it for something that means something to you. That’s the best reason to get it.”
Since MGK’s drawing doesn’t feature the colorful fragments of Haku’s body, one fan is curious ask if he “makes the line work or adds color”. Fifth add“one of my favorite movies tattooed on one of my favorite people ??.”
Before getting the new tattoo, the “Bird Box” star had a near-death experience during a pre-Super Bowl performance in February. As reported by The Blast, the father of one was performing his 2019 single, “El Diablo,” when he was electrocuted on stage.
The incident left the rapper’s long hair standing on end, and he was unable to move as he was temporarily paralyzed. Although it was life-threatening, MGK seemed undeterred and performed for over two hours afterwards.

In fact, when she shared the news online, she wrote, “YOOO I GOT ELECTROCUTED AND MY HAIR STAND UP,” along with a string of laughs and lightning emojis. The 32-year-old also wrote on Twitter, “Getting electrocuted during a show is a first for me…but the hair is cool.”
Billboard Music Award Winner’s Love Life Reportedly Feels Reborn
The Blast reported last month that MGK and his love, Meghan Fox, were rekindling their relationship just weeks after their previous breakup. Rumors of their split started after the 37-year-old actress uploaded a mirror selfie of herself and cryptically wrote:
“You can feel the dishonesty / It’s all happening,” a lyric from Beyoncé’s “Pray You Catch Me.”
Later, he removed all traces of the rapper from his Instagram account, including images of them together, confirming to viewers that they were done for good. So it was a surprise when the lovebirds resurfaced after months of quiet, smiling and holding hands while strolling on the beach during a Hawaiian fling in April.
Fox also supported her man as he delighted the crowd at the Waldbühne in Berlin earlier this month. She stunned in an all-black ensemble that featured a strapless bodysuit with a plunging neckline, sheer lace tights and an oversized black leather jacket.
The relationship between the “Holiday in the Sun” actor and MGK began with their unusual act of drinking each other’s blood. They then made their romance Instagram official in July 2020 and got engaged in January after almost two years together.
