The singer strips down in her book and takes aim at the topic that nearly killed her in her quest to return to fame. If you’re a Beer fan, you know he’s been talking about this book for me now, in ft it took so long to write because of the emotional journey he had to go through to finish it.

Excerpts from the book were shared revealing that Beer attempted suicide and basically hated himself as a teenager. It got worse after she coincidentally met Justin Bieber and became famous.

“I feel like I’m my own worst enemy. I retreated further into myself, and it was the beginning of some of the darkest years of my life, starting at sixteen and following me into my twenties,” he wrote.

“There were many times—like the night my nudity was leaked—that I felt so backed into a corner that I thought the only way out was to end my life.” Snippets of the book have been shared with Many people magazine.

Beer went so far as to detail the moments before his suicidal thoughts almost took over. “On a very heavy day,” he wrote, “a million thoughts played in my head,” as he stood by the balcony.

His eyes were unfocused and he admitted jumping was all that was on his mind. “I didn’t think I would jump. It’s more about knowing that I can—that I have a way out if it gets too much. Still, I lingered there, chilling with the fact that I wasn’t so afraid of being in high places.”

The singer’s younger brother came in and saw his sister ready to take her own life and screamed for their parents. “Suicidal thoughts were so common to me at that point that I forgot it wasn’t something I thought about every day,” he said of his brother’s reaction and his parents’ fears.

Madison’s mom, Tracie Beer was proud of her daughter’s candid book which appeared in her IG comments. “This book will really help many people in many ways! So proud of you for being so vulnerable.”
