The “Dangerous” singer explained, “I grew up happy. I thought I had a great body. But hearing endless comments about how I wasn’t really hurt me when I was younger.
According to the Mayo Clinic, body dysmorphia is a mental health disorder that causes a person to obsess over a perceived flaw or defect in their appearance. The “Louder Than Words” actress revealed that she has been limiting her food intake recently and is not eating enough.
Also, during this challenging time, she came across a hurtful comment on social media that read, “Someone needs to tell her to stop eating and put down her fork.” Beer expressed his thoughts on the matter, saying:
“I was getting to a place where I felt more confident, but it slipped, and it really hurts when people don’t know what you’re going through behind closed doors.”
Despite the challenges, she encourages younger fans to limit their screen time, believing “life is short.” In addition, he also shared his views on how society needs to move forward and stop being so quick to cancel and attract each other.
