Madison Brooks rape suspect shockingly predicts alleged assault in video from front seat

One of the men who witnessed the alleged rape of Louisiana State University student Madison Brooks seemed to predict what was to come, apparently saying in the video, “These guys are crazy. They ended up raping her.”

Casen Carver, one of the suspects, allegedly made the startling prediction in a selfie video he shot from the front seat of the car he, three friends and Brooks got into on Jan. 15.

In the seconds-long clip, which was played in court on Friday, Carver reportedly claimed, “These guys are crazy. They ended up raping her,” Kerry Miller, an attorney for Brooks’ mother, told Fox News Digital.

Brooks, a 19-year-old college sophomore, was allegedly raped in the back seat of a car by Kaivon Washington, 18, and Desmond Carter, 17, who are being tried as adults, after the group left Reggie’s bar in East Baton Rouge between 1 and 2 a.m.

After the alleged assault, witnessed by Everett Lee, 28, and Carver, 18, the gang dropped Brooks off on the side of a busy four-lane highway when he indicated he was going to call an Uber.

Shortly after he exited the vehicle, Brooks was fatally struck by a rideshare vehicle.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed to The Post that Brooks’ cause of death was “multiple traumatic motor vehicle injuries secondary to a pedestrian collision,” meaning he later died at the hospital.

Video, surveillance images and other evidence from that night have not been made public because they are in the hands of the Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office, which is prosecuting the case.

Some evidence, however, was shared in court on Friday, according to Miller, who said surveillance footage showed the suspect’s car had been in where Brooks was allegedly raped for about 20 minutes.

“You can’t really see what’s going on in the car from the surveillance cameras … someone hung a T-shirt over one of the back windows to block the view of what’s going on in the back seat,” Miller said.

“During the 20 minutes the car was parked in the parking lot, the prosecutor played video clips. One of Kaivon (Washington) pushed Maddie in the back seat, pushed her physically, pushed her hard.”

As the alleged incident unfolded, loud rap music was blasting in the car, according to Miller.

Despite the loud music, Brooks was heard on surveillance video yelling, “Get down,” Miller said.

The short clip that Carver recorded also revealed what happened in the back seat of the car.

“You can see what’s going on in the backseat from the right side of the camera,” Miller said. “That’s where you see Kaivon (Washington) push Maddie down.

“Then you see Carter with his pants down on top of Maddie. You see his legs are sticking out, and he’s not wearing anything. You know it’s Desmond Carter because he’s wearing a plaid shirt.”

According to Miller, the suspect was heard cheering after the alleged incident.

Joe Long, who represents Carver, told Fox that prosecutors “haven’t given me that discovery yet; actually a lot of discovery hasn’t been made available yet.”

“I have no further comment as I was not present, did not see the findings and do not represent Desmond (Carter).”

On Friday, Carter’s attorney argued that his $150,000 bail should be lowered to $75,000.

Although it was lowered to $100,000, it is unclear if he paid it and was released.

All suspects pleaded not guilty.
