Madonna Announces More Tour Dates In Solidarity Of The Trans Community

Madonna stands with the trans community!

The singer has announced the addition of eight new dates to the second leg of his highly anticipated US tour which will take place later this year. The additional shows were revealed in a statement highlighting a special benefit concert the Queen of Pop is adding for Nashville, where she plans to highlight Tennessee’s recent wave of unfriendly LGBTQ+-targeted bills.

Madonna Adds Additional Dates To “Celebrate” LGBTQ+ Community

Amidst an outpouring of anti-drag and anti-trans bills across the US, Madonna has made her stance clear by making some welcome changes to her upcoming “Welcome” tour. The “Like a Prayer” hitmaker announced that a stop in Nashville, Tennessee, along with seven other cities, has been added to his tour, which will kick off in July in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The 64-year-old shared his reasons for including the state capital on his list of stops in a press release, writing that “LGBTQ+ oppression is not only unacceptable and inhumane; it creates an unsafe environment.”

She added that the new law makes “America a dangerous place for our most vulnerable citizens, especially trans women of color. The “Back That Up To The Beat” singer pointed out how unnecessary “this so-called law is to protect our children,” referencing the bill signed by Republican Gov. Bill Lee of Tennessee on March 2.

While the first bill limited the performance of public drag shows, the second prohibited gender-affirming care for transgender minors. Following her message, Madonna assured her fans that she and Bob the Drag Queen — her opening act for the entire tour — will see their fans “from the stage in Nashville where we will celebrate the beauty of the queer community.”

Keep CAUSING A ROOM for a good cause and an important stand!” Another fan credited “4 Minutes” for “continuing to fight the hate,” and a third noted that he’s “always on the right side of history.”

The addition of the concert, which will be played on December 22 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, comes just two weeks after he teased fans about possibly getting more tour dates.

As reported by The Blast, the mother of six uploaded footage of herself swaying to The Queens’ remix of Beyoncé’s 2022 hit single, “Break My Soul,” via Instagram, telling her fans, “New tour dates to be announced soon ……… !!.”

The Michigan native paired a black corset top with matching blazer and gloves, a white tulle skirt and dark spidey glasses for the occasion. Viewers appreciated the Catholic-born artist’s concern by giving the post nearly 180k likes.

More than six thousand people also took to the comments section to praise the “Crazy for You” singer and give suggestions on which cities she should perform in.

Earlier this month, The Blast reported that P!nk took a break from her “F**king Perfect” week to defend Madonna amid the controversy surrounding her “new look.”

The moment came during an interview with Audacy Music’s Mike Adam earlier this month, where he addressed the pain relief he went through while making his latest album — “Trustfall.”

Explainingly, the 43-year-old noted that people are more interested in starting – or re-inventing – non-existent feuds between her and other female singers than simply enjoying their different musical styles.

The “Just Like Fire” hitmaker added that even though he spent three years on his album and wrote a song about losing his father, all the media wanted from him was his take on Madonna’s face. To emphasize the setback, the mother of two said:

“We shouldn’t be talking about Madonna’s face. We should be talking about all the crap that woman is doing for the rest of us to follow. That is not progress. That’s clickbait.”

The controversy surrounding the “Like a Virgin” singer’s face came after she took to the Grammys stage to introduce musical powerhouses Sam Smith and Kim Petras for their win in the ‘Pop Duo/Group Collaboration of the Year’ category.

Many viewers have taken to social media to express their views on how “weird” the award winner’s face was, which Madonna later blamed on the angle of the “long lens camera” that filmed her that night.
