The “Like A Virgin” singer, without saying a word, tells all about her parenting struggles and being a successful artist in the latest issue of Vanity Fair Italy. When asked what it’s like to handle being a mother and also an artist, Madonna told the news outlet, “It’s the hardest thing, the hardest battle. It’s probably the trickiest clown show to handle.”

She continued, “Even today, I struggle to understand how to be a mother and do my job. Because anyway, it goes, whoever you are, having a child and raising a child is an art. And no one gives you a manual. You have to learn from your mistakes. It’s time-consuming work. And it’s tiring because there’s never a break.”

The Grammy winner also stated that she is happy that her children found a way to discover their own art. Madonna revealed, “I never encouraged my daughter Lola to make music or my son Rocco to paint. But I always expose them to art, music, and I’m happy that they have found a way to express themselves. I have respect and admiration for them and what they are doing,” before adding that he is proud of his children.
