The “Material Girl” singer took the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Thursday as part of her “Celebration Tour” when she apparently misjudged concertgoers for sitting down.

A video making the rounds online shows him picking out fans when he realized they weren’t joining the cheering crowd before realizing they were in wheelchairs.

“What are you doing sitting there? What do you want to sit on?” Madonna asked as she walked to the side of the stage to hear the fans come out.

He then realized the fan was in a wheelchair and unable to stand, offering an apology saying, “Oh, OK. Politically incorrect. Sorry about that. I’m glad you’re here.”

Although the legendary singer apologized to concertgoers, many fans on social media were unhappy with the incident and called him out, saying he didn’t apologize properly.

“Ma’am, there are 100 reasons why someone could sit down – and they’re all valid,” wrote one fan, while another noted that Madonna “didn’t apologize well enough.”

“He is too quick to judge but too slow to apologize? That apology doesn’t cut it for me,” said a third fan, adding that the singer “needs to do better than that.”

“That’s a pathetic apology! What the hell? Imagine their tickets!!” a user demanded.

Netizens also said that fans should be able to sit at concerts if they want, regardless of whether they use wheelchairs.

“At his age, he should know better than to do this,” wrote someone on X, formerly Twitter.

Another disgruntled fan commented, “So people can’t sit when they choose? Leave them alone! They pay to be there, not to be the boss and babysit.”

“Disability is not always obvious. It doesn’t matter if they are in a wheelchair or not,” said one individual.

“That’s why performers don’t have to worry about whether someone is sitting or not,” said another.

She went on to praise one of her doctors who was on the show, noting how important the doctor was in her recovery.

“I would call every day and ask [my doctor] why i don’t have any energy, when will my energy come back? When will I feel like myself again? When can I go visit again?” he said. “All he would say was, ‘Go outside in the sun’… It was very difficult for me to walk from my house to the backyard and sit in the sun. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s hard.”

Madonna also recounted a conversation she had with her manager, Guy Oseary, while she was in hospital.
