A group of truck drivers who support Donald Trump have announced plans to boycott driving into New York City. The decision came after a legal ruling that saw New York Judge Arthur Engoron slap a fine of $355 million in damages on the former president.
Trump has been embroiled in a fraud trial brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, in which she accused him of inflating his assets and committing fraud. He will now also be barred from running his business in New York for three years as a result of the decision.

follow Fox NewsChicago Ray previously called on fellow truckers to boycott deliveries to New York City after the decision was announced last Friday.
“I’ve been on the radio talking to drivers for about an hour, and I’ve talked to about 10 drivers,” Ray wrote on X. “I don’t know how far across the country or how many truckers will started denying the burden of going to New York City, but I’ll tell you what – you’ll – around and find out.”
Former President Fined $355 Million

The controversy stems from a civil fraud case brought against Trump, his family, and his organization by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The lawsuit alleges Trump and the Trump organization engaged in “numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation” to inflate Trump’s net worth in order to obtain more favorable loan terms. However, the former president denied it, saying, “The fraud is in the court, not on me.”
This resulted in months of legal proceedings which saw the billionaire politician, along with his children, testify in court. Trump is reportedly “angry” that his legal troubles are affecting his daughter, Ivanka, following his resignation from politics.
He was found guilty and subsequently fined $355 million last week. As a result of the decision, he will also be barred from running his business in New York City for the next three years, as his business is under constant oversight by an independent monitor, with a separate independent compliance director also signing off on key business decisions. Fortunately for him, his business escaped the corporate death penalty because his license was not revoked.
Donald Trump’s Son Slams Decision As ‘Preparation’

Trump’s son Eric lashed out at New York authorities, labeling recent lawsuits against his family’s business empire a “setup” and a betrayal of his father’s contributions to the city.
The Trump Organization’s executive vice president defended his father’s legacy, emphasizing Trump’s role in shaping New York City’s iconic skyline through his real estate ventures. He described the legal action against the Trump Organization as politically motivated and designed to tarnish the family’s reputation.
“My dad built the New York City skyline: And this is the thank you he gets for not doing anything wrong,” said Eric, per Fox News.
On “The Ingraham Angle,” Eric called the case “rigged” while noting that the “best thing” he ever did “was get out of New York.”
He also called the state and city a “hopeless place” and condemned Engoron for prejudice against the Trump family before the trial officially began.
“It was a preparation from the beginning… [Engoron]; enmity; the way he looked at my father in court was horrible. I have never seen such hatred in anyone’s eyes before,” he claimed.

With the decision, Trump’s legal troubles continue to mount. The Republican presidential candidate was ordered to pay E. Jean Carroll, a former columnist, about $7.3 million for “emotional injuries,” plus $11 million for “reputational damages” and $65 million for “punitive damages.”
Carroll has sued her for defamation, although she denies the allegations, claiming that she has never met him. When he first revealed the allegations, Trump called them a “con job,” adding that “People should pay dearly for those false accusations.”
Reacting to the decision in a statement, Carroll said it was “a huge victory for every woman who stood up when she was knocked down and a huge defeat for every bully who tried to stop a woman.”
Regarding his feelings on the court, Carroll revealed in his appearance on “Good Morning America” that he felt “happy” and that it was “great”, that it “nourished” him and that it “almost hurts.”
