Mama June, born June Edith Shannon, is walking down the aisle for the second time with her partner Justin Stroud and is doing it right this time.
The beautiful ceremony was certainly a dream come true for the couple while marking a big reunion for Shannon’s family as her daughters – Alana, Lauryn, Anna, and Jessica – were all in attendance, given their surprising absence from the first wedding.
Mama June Marries Second Time, Marks Family Reunion After Years
Saturday, February 18, was a blessed day for the Shannon family, especially June, as she celebrated her love with Stroud in an oceanfront ceremony in Panama City, Florida.

It was a closed party with only family and close friends, but those who weren’t in attendance will get to see highlights in the upcoming season of “Mama June: Family Crisis.” The show will premiere May 5 on WE tv and will show the couple tying the knot once again at SpringHill Suites with the entire Shannon clan in attendance.
Alongside the reality star’s daughter, her grandchildren Stella, Stylus and Bentley attended the event, which was also the first family reunion in nearly a decade. June told ET about the importance of second marriage, saying,
“It’s the first time they’ve been together as a family since 2014, so it’s really special to get married in a place where my family and I have so many memories.”
Looking as beautiful as can be imagined, the blushing bride wore a wedding dress from David’s Bridal while her groom wore a tux from E&S Formal in Montgomery, Alabama, which he accessorized with a pair of Jordans.
According to Mama June, the couple wanted a “small and very intimate” ceremony, so they didn’t include any groomsmen or bridesmaids. “All four of my girls walked me to Justin, and his mom walked him down the aisle,” she added.
The wedding cake was catered by Cakes by Ricca in Panama City Beach and included six different flavors. Additionally, the couple’s first dance song was “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran.

Although the event wasn’t their first time at the altar together, they certainly looked like newlyweds. The two were secretly married on March 23, 2022, at a Georgia courthouse in Wilkinson County.
However, The Blast reported that the news broke in June, shocking fans and her four daughters who were not involved in the show. Alana “Honey Boo Boo” and Lauryn “Pumpkin” spilled their minds about the affair with the older sister, revealing that she suspected at first, but their mother denied it. Pumpkin said:
“I actually got a receipt in my mailbox stating that he had applied for a marriage certificate. Then I asked him about it recently. He denied it. And then finally he was like, ‘Oh, I’m married,’ and we were very, very surprised.
Similarly, Honey Boo Boo never believed their mother would marry again, given that her relationship with ex-husband Mike’ Sugar Bear’ Thompson came to a sad end. However, she notes that the WE tv star has changed, after which she and Pumpkin express their feelings about being excluded from the wedding.
The older sister said, “If he doesn’t think we need to be a part of it, then that’s the point.” However, the siblings failed to voice their opinions about the new addition to the family.

After less than a year of dating, Mama June and Stroud were labeled a couple on October 21, given a trip together to a tattoo parlor to get new ink. As reported, she introduced the 34-year-old to her social media fans as her “new boo” but chose not to mention his name at the time.
Meanwhile, in the same month their wedding finally ended, the couple were spotted buying a ring in Alabama, prompting engagement rumors which the August-born star denied. Before romance, June was involved with Geno Doak, and their tumultuous relationship was overcome with substance addiction, some anxiety and rehab.
They became an item in 2015, and Doak was featured in “Mama June: From Not to Hot” in 2017. In 2020, they attended rehab together, and the following year, they broke up, ending their nearly six-year relationship year.
