According to reports, the Cardwell family will cremate him after his memorial service and then each will get a portion of his ashes to keep in the form of jewelry memorabilia.
Cardwell’s death was announced by her family almost a year after she was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. The mother-of-two was also previously in a secret marriage before her death.

Cardwell’s family plan to cremate him after his memorial service, which will be held this week. Sources disclosed to TMZ that a “portion” of the late reality TV star’s ashes will be divided among everyone in Shannon’s family. They also plan to make a “jewel” or “crystal” in which Cardwell’s ashes will be encased.
According to the news outlet, Cardwell’s family also wanted to get his fingerprints tattooed after the funeral home took records of it.
Cardwell, who died on Saturday, reportedly asked for an open casket ceremony and wanted his fans to be allowed to attend the ceremony to get closure.
The bereaved family also wants to get a memorial bench in honor of the 29-year-old. It will serve as a place for loved ones to go and talk to when needed.

The 29-year-old was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January this year and reportedly underwent his first chemotherapy treatment in March. The cancer was found in Cardwell’s kidneys, liver and lungs after taking several tests following his complaint of stomach pain.
At the time, sources told TMZ that doctors are optimistic about Cardwell’s health status and they are waiting to see how he will respond to chemotherapy before proceeding with a decision. But things looked dire when his mother took to social media to ask for prayers just two days before her death was announced.
“All in all we are asking for prayers for our family as we go through this process, we really appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and we will update you all as soon as we can find out all of your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated during this,” June said in a caption on social media with a picture of praying hands.
Shortly after this post, June revealed that her daughter had died “peacefully” in her Georgia home after giving “an hour— a fight.”

June made the decision to properly care for her daughter during her cancer battle by moving back to Georgia, where her family had lived.
The reality TV star announced her decision to leave Alabama permanently during an interview with US Sun. She also stated at the time that she would be moving in with her husband, Justin Stroud.
“We’re leaving Alabama,” June told the news outlet. “I’m in the process of leaving Alabama right now, and I’m in the final stages of my legal issues, so we’re going back to Georgia.”
“We split our time between Alabama and Georgia, and when we came to help Anna and visit, we stayed at an Airbnb,” June added.
During the interview, she discussed her decision to return to Georgia, citing her desire to provide Cardwell with the best possible care and support.
Regarding her previously strained relationship with her now-deceased daughter, Jun revealed to the news outlet that they had started working on things before her cancer diagnosis.
“The relationship with Anna was actually going well before she found out that she had cancer. It didn’t just suddenly magically start working like Anna had with cancer, you know, to explain it to everybody,” June said.
June and her daughter have been at odds over her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, McDaniel, which Cardwell disapproves of. But the mother-daughter duo began to move past it after June and McDaniel’s breakup.
Cardwell was also present at her mother’s wedding to Stroud earlier this year and helped walk her down the aisle with her other sisters, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, and Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon.
