A man has been detained on a flight between a popular holiday destination and one of Australia’s busiest airports.
The man had to be restrained by cabin crew after allegedly assaulting a crew member on Qantas flight QF46 between Bali and Melbourne.
Details of what happened on the flight are not yet known but Qantas has confirmed the incident took place during the flight between Denpasar and Melbourne.
The cabin crew is being briefed.

Video obtained by Nine News shows other passengers struggling with the man before he is pinned down in the aisle by crew.
Passengers who had left the flight said the man was allegedly agitated, yelling and screaming, before the “episode” took place, a witness claimed the man was shouting for his mum and dad at one stage.
Another witness told 9 News the man allegedly assaulted a passenger.
“He attacked two or three other passengers and the other passengers overcame him,” the man said.

“Everyone was relaxing and all of a sudden this guy jumped up and he started screaming and everyone panicked.”
Airport police were on hand to meet the plane on arrival and are currently managing the situation.
Qantas says the safety of its customers and crew is its number one priority, with the company zero tolerance for disruptive or threatening behaviour.o
