Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” became a New York Times bestseller and has sold more than 1.1 million copies in the United States alone according to the latest sales figures. Given the success of her memoir, it makes sense that several big names are vying for the rights to adapt Britney’s book into a visual medium. According to The Ankler, several celebrities are willing to bid somewhere in the “mid-eight-figure range” for the rights.
After the success of “Barbie,” many fans will be interested to see how Margot Robbie will adapt the pages of her memoir through her company LuckyChap Productions. Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine are also reportedly trying to win the rights to the book.
Shonda Rhimes, through Shondaland Productions, is also looking to acquire the rights to the book. Days before her memoir was released, the “Gimme More” singer insisted that she never intended to “offend” anyone with her book, noting that most of the events she described happened “20 years ago” and that she had “moved on”. on.”
