Mariah Carey is singing the praises of her creative and talented children and is excited to see what they do when they grow up. In a recent interview with E! News, the iconic singer discussed how her 11-year-old twins, Monroe and Morocco, who she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon, have inherited her musical talents.

At the recent Moët & Chandon Holiday Celebration, Carey told E! News that “Rocky is a technical genius. He can do whatever he wants, and I’ll support him.” He continued by saying, “He and Roe are both creative geniuses. To be honest, their tone when they sing is very beautiful, and I am very grateful that they inherited it from me.” He added, “I can’t wait to see what and who they grow up to be.”
Both kids are helping out with Carey’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performance as backup dancers, and she’s excited they want to be a part of it. “When they want to get involved and feel like it’s going to be fun, they show up, attend practice, and really get into it,” he said. “It’s great to watch them when they’re fully engaged, connecting with their other friends – many of whom are aspiring singers or dancers who weren’t born into the entertainment world.”

The singer makes sure to emphasize a good work ethic and enjoys watching them grow. “I think it’s important for them to learn this lesson because I grew up without that privilege and they need to understand that it’s very important to try your best and do your best,” he explained. “It’s one of my greatest honors to see them shine.”
Monroe Recently Joined Mariah Carey On Stage During A Toronto Show
During Carey’s “Merry Christmas to All” show last weekend in Toronto, Monroe joined her mother on stage for a duet on the classic hymn “Away in a Manger.” The performance had the audience screaming at the 11-year-old’s amazing voice. Carey shared a carousel of photos from the night on her Instagram page with the caption, “Thank you so much to all the Canadian fans and lambs who came out to celebrate with me at my show last night!!!! Merry Christmas Everyone!! ❤️???❤️”
Many fans took to the comments section to express how amazing Monroe was during the show. “It was a beautiful show and I love it when your daughter performs with you! ???,” wrote one fan. Another added, “DON’T FORGET HOW TO SLAY ROE BEFORE! STOP EAT.”

This is not the first time he joined his mother on stage to perform. Monroe, along with Moroccan twins joined their mother on stage during a performance of “Always Be My Baby” during Carey’s “#1 to Infinity” residency in Las Vegas a few years ago. And they are often seen on social media Carey singing, dancing and acting.
In September, the child, along with Millie Bobby Brown, helped Carey recreate a scene from her iconic “Honey” video. The twins are naturals in the funny roles they play in the clip.
In another video shared on Carey’s Instagram page, fans can see two non-singing talents that the twins have – fashion and comedy. In the video, viewers see the two children walking the runway in what turns out to be a comedy skit with the caption, “No children were harmed in the making of this video ???”
