While the now 41-year-old pop star has taken turns about her ex-boyfriends, ex-husbands and estranged family, she has had some very nice things to say about certain celebrities in her circle, including the Christmas Queen.

In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” Britney recalled heading into Mariah’s dressing room to pose backstage at an awards show. “He opened it and poured out the most beautiful otherworldly light. You know how we all have ring lights now? Well, more than twenty years ago, only Mariah Carey knew about ring lights. And no, I can’t say his first name. To me he will always be Mariah Carey,” she wrote, going on to explain that the “We Belong Together” singer taught her an important lesson about finding her best light.
“I asked if we could take a picture together and tried to take a picture where we were standing, and he said, ‘No! Let’s stand here, baby. This is my light. This is my side. I want you standing here so I can get on my good side, girl,’” he wrote. “He continued to say this in his deep and beautiful voice: ‘I good side, girl. my kindness side, female.’ … I knew I won an award that night, but I couldn’t tell you what it was. A perfect photo with Mariah Carey — that’s the real gift.”

During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday, November 2, host Jimmy Kimmel said, “By the way, Britney Spears wrote about you in her book. Do you know that?”
“I heard something about it,” he replied.
“Do you want to know what he wrote?” Jimmy asked. “But don’t worry, it’s good. It’s not bad.”
“I love him,” Mariah replied. Jimmy then paused to read what Britney had written about herself in the book.
“Is it true about the ring lights? You had one in 2003?” Jimmy asked.
“Of course, I have a ring light,” he replied. “By the way, I’m not like ‘I like ring lights.’ By the way, I like the ring light when you cover the bottom edge of the ring light, because for me I don’t like under lighting. It’s very specific.”
He went on to say, “By the way, that’s so sweet what Britney said about me.”

The Princess of Pop also has a lot of praise for the Queen of Pop, Madonna. He revealed that their 2003 MTV Video Music Awards kiss was rehearsed as an “air kiss” before he decided to “go for it” and kiss Madonna on the lips.
“Every time we practice, we do air kisses,” she wrote in her memoir. “About two minutes before the show, I was sitting on the side of the stage thinking about my biggest performance to date at the VMAs, when I took off my suit to reveal a glittery dress. I thought to myself: I want a moment like that again this year. With that kiss, do I have to do it? … Much was made of that kiss.”
She later collaborated with Madonna on their 2003 hit, “Me Against The Music,” in which Britney recalled how Madonna took over the direction of their music video. “I was amazed at how Madonna wouldn’t compromise her eyesight,” he wrote. “It was an important lesson for me, one that will take me a long time to absorb: he demands power, then he gets power. He became the center of attention because he made the situation appear everywhere. He made that life for himself. I hope I can find a way to do that.”
He went on to praise Madonna’s influence in the industry, writing, “If I could go back now, I would try to be my own parent, my own partner, my own advocate — like I know Madonna did,” adding, “She has experienced so much sexism and bullying from the public and the industry, and being shamed for her sexuality so many times, but she’s always overcome it.”
