It’s a time of celebration for Monroe and Morocco as they begin their 12th year, and their famous mom wants to make sure they know they’ll “always be my baby.”
The superstar singer captioned her Instagram celebration, “Happy birthday to my favorite person on the planet!!! I thank God for you every day! “Our love is Supernatural!!!” Ooh baby cause you will ALWAYS be my baby!!! ❤️❤️????❤️❤️”
The post received more than 95,000 likes and many happy birthday wishes in the comments section in just a few hours.
Carey’s longtime boyfriend Bryan Tanaka wrote, “Happy Birthday Roc & Roe! I love you both so much!” Randy Jackson took to the comments to say, “Happy birthday to the Dem Kids!! Miss you all ????❤️,” and Jermaine Dupri left a brief message, “Happy Birthday!!!!”
Many more happy birthday wishes were left for the twins. “Happy birthday to demkids! Just yesterday they were 3 or 4 how are they 12?!,” wrote one follower. Another added, “Butterflies spread their wings again to the next phase of life. Happy birthday to their children!”

Carey shares the twins with ex-husband Nick Cannon, who recently discussed parenting the older children as the twins approach their 12th birthday.
During an episode of the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast, Cannon discussed his firstborn.
“This is the first time I have a 12-year-old, and I have a set of them,” he said. “And we had real conversations, because, you know, their lives were far from normal. Their mother was one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived, and their father was me.”

Carey often shares videos and photos of her mom life with her twins, vacationing, singing, and just being silly and having fun.
In a recent video, she had fun with one of her hit songs while riding in the backseat of a car with her Moroccan son. With the caption, “#itsawrap #Rocstarr,” the mother and son lip-synced to her song, “It’s a Wrap” in an adorable way. Watch out Hollywood! Morocco may have a future in acting after that perfect performance.
The fun video generated a lot of funny comments.
“Must be Nick on the phone,” wrote one. Another added, “He said stop playing with my mama!!”
Monroe also had a chance to have fun with her mother’s song, “It’s a Wrap.” As she lip-synced along to the song, Carey was in the background just waiting to jump in hilariously.
Actress and writer Kenya Barris took to the comments to ask, “Wait… is that your baby????
Other followers also had some things to say about my mini Carey singing her song. While many people thought that Monroe actually sang the lyrics, one person pointed out that it was actually Carey.
“I wonder how many people don’t know that the song is sped up and it’s STILL Mariah’s voice ? her daughter just lip synced ?,” he wrote. Another added, “I love this ???? omg !!!! And the legacy continues!!!”
But fans of the singer know that Monroe actually CAN sing, and very well. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Around Christmas time, Monroe joined her mother on stage during her popular Christmas duet.
Many of Carey’s fans were stunned by her daughter’s amazing voice. The performance was the first time a mother and daughter pair sang a duet together.
