The Fun Never Ends When The Parade Goes On For Mariah Carey

The singer also shared some Thanksgiving moments after the parade in a hilarious video on Instagram with the caption, “We had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner, only one thing was missing!”

Mariah Carey Has Always Made Music An Important Part Of Her Twins’ Lives

As one might assume, music is very important in Carey’s life and she makes sure it is in her children’s lives as well. In a recent interview with W Magazine, Carey explained that music was important in her home. She started the twins on “inspirational music” in the womb.

“Here’s the thing: I’m always listening to music. When I was pregnant with them, I would wear this iPod-like belt so they could listen to inspirational music and, like, have different kinds of relaxing moments or whatever,” she explained. “But when they started listening to their own music, you know, once I let the iPad moment happen, then it became about whatever was happening in the game and certain songs that stood out more in different video games.”

As Monroe and Moroccan grew older, they were exposed to different songs and styles of music, but Carey made sure her playlist was never forgotten. “They’re not on TikTok yet, but I know they’re secretly behind me. So a song is just a 15-second snippet for them,” he said. “But I have a few different playlists that I play all the time. I try to let them hear some of my favorite artists that they might not have heard of or they might not have heard of if they just listened to the snippets.”

Carey made learning about new music fun for the twins with a quiz asking, “Okay, who’s singing?” “And most of the time, they get it right,” he said. “It’s usually Prince or Stevie Wonder. It’s Aretha Franklin. There’s Chaka Khan. And I was like, ‘You need to hear the tone of voice. Listen to the way they sing.”
