Now Tom Hiddleston, no stranger to horror films, will join the mix in an adaptation of King’s short story “The Life of Chuck.”

However, “The Monkey” tells a very different story, which focuses on two twin brothers – Hal and Bill – finding their father’s old money toy in the attic. After his discovery, a series of gruesome deaths began to occur around them. After they decided to throw the monkey away, the death stopped and they continued. Over the years, they eventually grew apart. However, when mysterious deaths suddenly start happening again, the brothers realize they have to work together and destroy it once and for all.
Theo James will probably play either Hal or Bill. No other shipping information has been reported at this time. However, Automatic’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Insidious) and Fred Berger (La La Land), Chris Ferguson (Child’s Play), and Collective Stars Peter Luo and Nancy Xu have been announced as executive producing the film with John Friedberg (Greenland) for International Black Bear.
James Wan Praise For ‘The Godfather Of The Horror Genre’
MEGA In a statement about “The Monkey,” James Wan said, “Stephen King is the godfather of the horror genre. He was a huge influence on me as a child and throughout my career, and it’s always been a dream to help bring one of his stories to life. The Monkey is a personal favourite, with its simple, iconic and highly marketable swagger. And I can’t imagine anyone better than a visionary and lifelong fan of the genre like Osgood to bring it to life.”
Cloth and Caplan added, “We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Osgood, James, Brian, and our friends at Black Bear International to present Stephen King’s The Monkey. It perfectly ticks the box of what works in the market right now and will be a hot property. We can’t wait for audiences to see Theo James in this role – he will absolutely knock it out of the park with an amazing performance.”
