Mark Hamill Created His Own ‘Star Wars’ May Calendar

Actor Mark Hamill is ready to celebrate May the “Star Wars” way.

Most fans of the Lucasfilm franchise already know that Star Wars Day takes place on May 4th every year. The day derives from the date, “May the Fourth” which is a play on the classic phrase, “May the Force Be With You.”

Last year, the “Star Wars” actor responsible for bringing Luke Skywalker to life started tweeting (almost) every day throughout May to create his own calendar, and now he’s shared it with all his fans to enjoy!

He Still Hasn’t Given Up On Being A Jedi!

Not an easy job… but someone has to do it. @cameronmonaghan @EAStarWars https://t.co/P1AEnO5LJV

While things don’t seem to be going well for Luke’s Jedi Academy in the sequel trilogy, it looks like he hasn’t given up on being a teacher just yet. In a promotional video for “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor,” released on April 28, Mark teaches the actor behind Cal Kestis, Cameron Monaghan, how to use the Force.

Of course, it looks like the “Shameless” actor already knows how to use a lightsaber — two of them, in fact. The promotional clip ends with Cam trying to show Mark how to play the game, with Mark replying, “I really don’t need you to explain the Force to me.”

“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” is now available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
