He said, “I mean, look, I just, you know, got more injuries and didn’t recover like I should have. There is no reason why anyone, never mind someone at 52, should train, seven days a week and then do it twice a day.”

Wahlberg says all the intense workouts have taken a “pounding” to his body and recovery. The “Father Stu” actor said, “God has given us the best gifts. One of them is proper sleep to recover and heal and also cold water.”

However, he shared that a recent ice cold shower challenged him with a significant drop in Las Vegas temperatures.

Wahlberg talks more about the cold plunge and how it has helped his body. He said, “The feeling you have, it’s pretty good. It’s definitely something I look forward to in the morning, not necessarily going in, but the feeling I get for sure.”

He said, “Hurry up and do that, rest two days a week and really just focus on being able to move and feel good for the long term and hopefully drag out this beautiful thing called life as long as possible, because as opposed to just worrying about the aesthetics of trying get bigger and stronger and then end up getting hurt.”

“The Departed” actor talks about the injuries his grueling fitness routine has caused to his body. This includes “problems with shoulders, knees, back,” which Wahlberg says are some of the many mistakes he made with his body. The actress stated that she tries to share this mistake with her children, who “now love to exercise,” so that they don’t make the same mistake.

The “Transformers” star added that I like to get a lot done before the kids get up for school, so that way I don’t spend the middle of the day focusing on all the other things I need to do to be the best version of myself.”

I’ve been waking up lately at 3:30. I don’t want to do all my personal stuff—exercise, midday prayer time and then try to play golf.”

Wahlberg also talked about the importance of quality time with his wife and four children in his daily routine. To ensure this, Wahlberg does all his personal activities before they wake up and has a night time routine.

He said, “We’ll have dinner, get the kids all ready—well, they sleep when they want—and then we’ll start watching TV and I’ll usually fall asleep in the middle of something.”
