The CEO of Meta announced the happy news on his Instagram account on Friday and shared two pictures of the couple with their newborn baby. The first slide sees the doting dad looking very happy and enjoying precious moments with their new addition.

A swipe to the left reveals the philanthropist lying in a hospital bed, unclothed with a white blanket covering him and a newborn baby cradled on his chest. “Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg! You are a little blessing,” Zuckerberg wrote in the caption.

The post, which has received more than 400,000 likes, contains comments from fans welcoming the little one and expressing excitement for the couple. One follower wrote, “Congratulations @zuck. Welcome to the world, baby Aurelia,” while another described her as a “beautiful baby.”

A third stated, “Congratulations, dear Aurelia,” before jokingly welcoming her “to the world of the Metaverse ?,” while a fourth said, “the best part of your life begins now.”

In September 2022, The Blast shared that Zuckerberg and the former pediatrician made an exciting announcement about their upcoming baby in a heartfelt post. The 38-year-old stood close to his wife in the image with his hand on her baby bump as they beamed with happiness.

To make the announcement sweeter, she included the caption, “Lots of love. Excited to share that Max and August will be getting a new baby sister next year!” Parents have a way with words for their children and are excited to expand their family.

This little love note is reminiscent of the letter they wrote to their second baby girl in August when she was born in 2017. In a heartwarming letter shared by ET, the couple expressed their deep love for their new addition. The New Yorkers opened the letter by mentioning how excited they were to watch their second child grow.

Instead of following the same pattern as their letter to their first daughter, Maxima, where they wrote about the world they hope she will grow up in, the couple chose to focus on childhood in their message for August.

They emphasize that the time between infancy and adulthood is a critical phase of life and hope that Shadow will use this time to bond with his sister and discover the world around him.

Additionally, they wrote, “And then I hope you take lots of naps. I hope you’re a good sleeper. And I hope even in your dreams you can feel how much we love you.” In conclusion, the couple wrote, “August, we love you so much, and we are so excited to continue this adventure with you. We wish you a life filled with the same joy, love, and hope that you gave us.”

PEOPLE recently decided to take a trip down memory lane about how the couple started their relationship and the milestones they celebrated. It all started in 2003 when Zuckerberg and Chan met as Harvard students at a frat party.

Deciding to strike up a conversation while waiting in line for the restroom may have been fate as they quickly found a deep connection and started dating soon after.

From then on, despite all the ups and downs of the relationship, the couple grew stronger. By 2010, they took the plunge and moved in together, with Chan leaving Boston and moving to Palo Alto, California, to be with his lover.

May 2012 brought many happy moments, including Facebook going public, and philanthropists graduating from medical school. They even surprised their friends and family by getting married in their Palo Alto home.
