Marlon Wayans Slams United Airlines For Embarrassing Airport Incident 

Marlon Wayans was not happy with the treatment he received while trying to board a United Airlines flight.

The actor took to Instagram to rant about an argument with one of the airline’s staff members, which led to him being kicked off a flight and receiving a citation from the police.

Wayans took to Instagram on Friday to lash out at United Airlines for the behavior of one of their employees, which got him kicked off a flight he had booked.

The actress revealed that she was scheduled to perform in Kansas City but the agent she met at the airport unnecessarily started an issue with her by “claiming she had too many bags.”

“Most agents are always nice, but now and then, you run into BAD PEOPLE. This is one of them. @united this type of employee should not work at your company,” Wayans vented his frustration with the service.

The comedian, who received a citation from the Denver Police Department for the incident, stated that the staff “tried to lie and say I assaulted him.”

He added of the unnamed staff, “He was desperate to have some power. I have flown over 15,000,000 miles in my life and rarely had a problem. Anyone who knows me knows I am a gentle man.”

However, regarding the issue, Wayans later explained why he brought it up on social media, saying he wanted the airline canceled.

He commented. “This is a distraction, and I’m going to make enough noise to get all my friends, family and people to stop flying @united. This will be a corporate affair.”

He also asked his fans to “fly to where you are respected, protected and loved” as he shared a photo of himself on an American Airlines flight.

In a follow-up Instagram post, Wayans lamented the incident and reiterated his demand to be paid for the inconvenience.

“The White Chicks” star said, “@united, you owe me for my inconvenience, for my missed shows, and most importantly, you owe my disappointed fans. After you compensate me, you should give all fans affected by my absence voucher for free travel.”

The plane incident comes two months after the actor spoke about his father’s death on an episode of “Good Morning America,” per Page Six.

At the time, Wayans reflected on the traumatic event and shared that many things in his life felt “heartbreaking.”

As for how she keeps herself sane, the actress says being on stage is “the only thing that saves” her.

“When I was hurt, the laughter I heard from others healed my pain, I realized my purpose,” he said. “And I think it’s important for all of us to do what comedians do, which is to look at this world, to look at this life, and always try to spend your life looking for a smile.”

The actor previously shared an emotional tribute to his father on Instagram. As part of the piece, Wayans thanked his father, whom he described as a “legend,” for “being an example of a Man to all your sons.”

“I pray all black boys can grow up to be Men like you. Baby boy loves you. And if I ever need you, I know where to find you… in my Bible that now sits by the bed. Rest well,” he wrote on Instagram with a photo of him and his father.

“I got two angels,” Wayans added, referring to his mother, who died in 2020. “I feel like you’ve all lifted me up. If there is a heaven, I know you are sitting in VIP sipping the best wine Jesus could make….”

After his father’s death, Wayans performed at a comedy show in Los Angeles, where he reportedly “worked tragedy” into his material.
