A British Airways pilot sniffed coke from a topless woman’s chest while partying hard in South Africa before he tried to board a crowded flight to London, according to a report.
Mike Beaton, a married father-of-one, had the night off for “down time” in Johannesburg before he was scheduled to co-pilot a flight back to London four weeks ago.
He spent the night on booze, drugs and women, he boasted in a text message sent to a fellow flight attendant, The Sun reported.
“I was a very naughty boy,” he told her.
When he tried to fly the next day, the crew reported the pilot’s alarming nighttime incident to his superiors, who canceled the 12-hour flight to Heathrow Airport, at a cost to British Airways of about $120,000, according to the outlet.
Beaton was suspended and flown home as a passenger the next day. He was drug tested at the airport – which he failed – and was later fired.

In his text message to the flight attendant, Beaton said he had met two local men, a Welsh woman on holiday and a “young Spanish bird” at a Johannesburg nightclub. After hours of drinking, the group staggered into the hotel bar for a nightcap before they ended up at one of the local men’s apartments.
“Welsh has decided that I should be her boyfriend – the Spaniard has a relationship with one of the two local lads and is smoking it on their sofa,” he said.
The “girls” were dancing shirtless when the cocaine arrived, Beaton boasted.
“I had lost my shirt somewhere and one of the local lads produced a plate with a few lines of coke,” he wrote. “So, there’s a debate about whose chest is the best to break.”
“That’s the story of how I ended up smelling coke from a girl’s ts in Joburg,” he gloats.

“Stayed overnight with Welsh, sh– him for ages (I think coke played a part),” he continued, “and then was so f–ked that I couldn’t lift my head until I was gone 2.”

A source with British Airways told The Sun the incident had left the airline in shock.
“Of all the bad behavior that happens in transit between flights, this incident is unbelievable,” the source said. “A First Officer is thoroughly trained and knows the law inside out. Their job is to protect the safety of passengers.
“The idea of sending details of his drinking and drug sessions to flight attendants between flights is incredibly stupid,” they added.
When he was tested for drugs at Heathrow, “The alcohol was no longer found in his system, but Class A drugs were,” the source said. “He will never fly again.”
A British Airways source told The Sun passengers on the flight were not a risk after Beaton took drugs. The airline confirmed the pilot no longer works for them.
“Airlines must immediately inform us if a UK pilot has abused drink or drugs while on board, or on board,” the UK Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement.
“In this case, we will immediately suspend the pilot’s medical which means they cannot fly,” the agency continued. “In most cases, pilots will undergo an assessment with a specialist medical team and if they wish to return to flying then a comprehensive rehabilitation program will be put in place.”
