A Massachusetts State Trooper was dragged onto a busy road after pulling over the driver of a Mercedes for a traffic violation, shocking video shows.
The unidentified officer, who was injured in the incident, arrested 31-year-old Derek Lobo at about 6 p.m. Wednesday for “trespassing on a motor vehicle,” according to a state police Facebook post.
Dashcam footage shows the policeman and his partner leaning against Lobo’s Mercedes with the driver’s door open. Moments later, the unidentified officer leaned further into the car, appearing to struggle with Lobo as his partner, Corey Douglas, reached to grab his colleague to pull him out.
Douglas’ attempt is futile as Lobo takes off down the road, taking the officer with him as Douglas runs back towards the cruiser.
Lobo drove wildly down the street while the officer grabbed the door before being thrown from the car, hurtling across the street several feet. The officer suffered minor injuries, according to police.

The officer was seen immediately pushing himself off the ground as he ran back towards the police car.
The two chase Lobo down the block before the video cuts out.
The attacker was arrested a day later at a residence on Union Street and detained.

Lobo was taken into custody by officers who dragged him down the road, according to police.
He was booked into the State Police Barracks-Middleboro.
He is wanted for assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and trafficking in fentanyl, among other charges, according to state police.
Douglas reposted the video to his Facebook page, saying that he and the other troopers were “luckily unharmed during the incident.”
The Post has reached out to the Massachusetts State Police for comment.
