The comedian has come under fire for what some fans call inappropriate behavior towards actress Zendaya during their time on MTV’s “Wild ‘n Out.”

The controversial clip in question shows Rife and the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” star engaging in a prank on the show in which he is required to make her spit water in his mouth to earn points for his team.

Zendaya, 18 at the time, sat motionless and unfazed as Rife did everything he could to make her laugh.

“Hey Zendaya, I’m Nick Cannon,” he began. “Well, f— that, I’m Matt motherf—– Rife, okay!”

As he approached the actor, he added, “You’re mixed, I want to be Black, let’s do a lifestyle movie.”

When he notices that his efforts to abort her are proving unsuccessful, he grabs her chin and shouts, “Please spit out the water so I can get your number!”

Zendaya can be seen giving Rife a disapproving look as her teammate rushes to her aid and tells her not to “touch him like that.”

“I didn’t touch him… He can handle himself!” Rife tried to defend himself.

Following his recent joke about domestic violence, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to call out Rife for touching Zendaya.

One said, “The way they immediately jump when he touches it…they know something.”

Another X user wrote, “To each their own, but how Matt Rife treated Zendaya at Wild ‘N Out did it for me.”

It comes after Rife recently drew the ire of fans following the release of his latest comedy, “Natural Selection,” for making sexist jokes. The comedian’s attempt at humor backfired after he tried to recount when he met a waitress with a black eye at a restaurant during one of his trips.

“It’s pretty clear what happened. But we can’t forget, like, this is the face of the company? This is the person you greet the people with?” he tells a story.

“And my son, who was with me, was like, ‘Yeah, I feel sorry for him, man; I think they should put him in the kitchen or something where no one has to see his face.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, but I think if she could cook, she wouldn’t have that black eye,'” Rife added.

The “Burb Patrol” star went on to blast the woman, saying, “She should have her protective crystal,” but that didn’t go over well with fans.

Matt Rife Says His Comedy Special Is Geared More Toward Men

In a recent interview with DiversityRife seems to be stirring the pot by insisting that his latest comedy is “more for men” than women.

The comic, who rose to fame on TikTok with his crowd-sourced videos and has amassed more than 17 million followers on the platform, said he was often “taunted online” for the “misconception” that his fans were predominantly female because of his popularity on TikTok, but he pleaded to different

“When you come to the show, I mean, it’s 50/50. It’s an outgoing couple. It’s an upcoming boy band. And that’s one thing I want to address in this special, showing people that, despite what you think of me online, I don’t base my career on women,” he said. “I think that this special is more for men.”
