“Friends” ran for ten seasons and also starred David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc. In his memoirs, Perry wrote that he knew the series would be a success from the first reading of the script during the auditions.
He shared that when the core cast was finally chosen and together, they had their first schedule read, which was a huge success. Perry recalled his summer experience, writing, “I filled that summer with three important things — gambling in Vegas at the direction of director Jimmy Burrows; a trip to Mexico itself; and a make-out session in the closet with Gwyneth Paltrow.”
