In a brand new TikTok video, Bertinelli appears to have addressed the claims in Perry’s upcoming memoir Friends, Lovers, and Big Awful Things that she and the “Friends” star had sex while she was still married to rock star Eddie Van Halen.

Playing in the background of the clip she posted is Taylor Swift’s new song, “Anti-Hero,” which has been making headlines since it debuted a few days ago.

“Anyone in their 20s and early 30s who behaved badly? Are you ashamed?” read the caption written on the video, per Insider. In the clip, Bertinelli grins and shakes his head awkwardly, as Swift sings the lyrics, “It’s me, hey, I’m the one with the problem. It’s me.”

Since its introduction, it has become popular among TikTok users, who have used it to reveal their flaws and other past actions that they now regret.

While Bertinelli’s caption didn’t directly reference her alleged fling with the “Friends” star, fans felt that the actress posting at the same time a risqué quote from Perry’s upcoming memoir surfaced was no coincidence at all.

Perry wrote in the tell-all book that “a long and elaborate make-out session” took place while the actress’ husband Eddie Van Halen passed out drunk next to them. At that time, the couple starred in the short-lived sitcom “Sydney” and spent a lot of time together.

The actress shared that she then “fell madly in love” with Bertinelli, claiming that her marriage to Van Halen was “troubled”,

He wrote, per Page Six, “My love is crushing; not only is she out of my league, but she’s also married to one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, Eddie Van Halen.”

Fans Slam Matthew Perry For ‘Kissing And Telling’

After Bertinelli reposted her TikTok video on her Instagram page, fans joined the conversation, criticizing the “Friends” star for revealing such personal details in her book.

One very angry fan commented, “What the f***. Throwing shade at addiction by kissing and telling. Some “Friends”.”

One fan said, “That’s completely disrespectful and smacks of someone trying desperately to stay relevant. I love Friends and really root for his troubled star. But he can suck it up.”

Another follower wrote, “I lost a bit of respect for him with some of the things I read that he put in his book. Not cool to do. “

Others advised the actress not to let the experience “hurt” her because it didn’t change who she is as a person.

One Instagram user said, “There’s no reason to be ashamed – those experiences make up the rich tapestry of our lives. Besides, it’s history. There’s nothing you can do now but own it,” while another wrote, “Oh, stop, things bad things happen! Don’t offend yourself.”
