Mystery Woman Opens Up About Matthew Perry’s Final Moments

Perry reportedly went out with friends for a meal the day before her sudden death was announced. The mystery woman has now come forward to identify herself and provide more details about their meeting.
Athena Crosby via Instagram confirmed she was with the actor before his death. He uploaded a photo of the blog post about his and Perry’s meeting to his story and wrote, “Again, I never intended to say anything, but as I’ve been identified, yes I was with him last Friday.”
He continued that the actor was in “excellent spirits” and spoke to him “with enthusiasm about the things he had come up with in his life.” Crosby added that Perry was happy and in good spirits while urging the public to avoid any speculation about her death and stating that:
“That man[Perry] has made a comeback and really deserves more time on this earth.”
He concluded his post by stating that the entertainment industry has lost a legend. Crosby didn’t stop there as he uploaded another photo of Perry and followed it up with a very emotional caption that read:
“I’m not going to talk about this but what I will say is that I had the honor of knowing Matthew personally. I am deeply saddened by his death but feel it is in poor taste to talk about it publicly as the focus should not be on me but rather on him and his legacy.”

He confirmed that the “Almost Heroes” star is a very private person, and he respects their friendship, adding, “But really, we were friends and I was one of the last people to talk to him and see him before he died.”
Crosby added two more slides in tribute to Perry, including a photo of his newly released memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing” with an autograph addressed to her in which he calls her “number 1 girl.”
‘Friends’ Creators Detail Their Last Interaction With Perry
Perry’s death was unexpected and everyone is looking back on their last moments with him, including the creators of his breakout film, “Friends.” Marta Kauffman and David Crane were devastated by the news, as they remembered that he was in a good place the last time they met, just two weeks ago.
The co-creators who appeared on the “Today Show” held back tears as they talked about Perry. Kauffman said, “It’s great. He’s happy and cheerful. He’s like he’s not burdened by anything. He’s in a really good place, which is why this seems so unfair.”

Sources close to the star previously revealed that he was healthy and in good spirits during a pickle just hours before he was found dead. Kauffman shared that his initial reaction was to text her when he first heard the news, and then was followed by deep sadness. He added that Perry’s departure was “hard to fathom” saying:
“You know, one minute he’s here and happy, and then poof. And do good in the world. Really doing good in the world.”
As we reported, Crane weighed in on Perry’s words, who followed the line of people who were shocked by her departure but not surprised and continued that the actor was not at all wrong and added:
“Given the journey he’s been on, and we’re all aware of that, there’s always a part that’s quite prepared for something like this. It’s still hard to believe because he’s such a living person that it’s hard to believe he’s not here.”
The 66-year-old went on to say that he believes Perry is aware of the great impact he has on fans and wonders how far he can go about thinking about love and ultimately “finding comfort in it.”
Perry’s cause of death remains undetermined as the medical examiner requested more time to complete their investigation.
