Megan Fox Admits She’s Only Dated ‘Pretty Boys’ With Negative Consequences

Megan Fox bares her soul in her first book of poetry about “Pretty Boys” and their negative effects!

The actress is considered one of the sexiest women in the world, but being adored by millions of fans does not guarantee perfect treatment from the men in her life. The 37-year-old delves into her heartbreaking past in her new poetry collection, “Beautiful Toxic Boys,” sharing the lessons she’s learned from dating hot guys.

Fox decided to name his book “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous” not only because it resonated with his story, but he also received various approvals from his friends after he suggested several titles for the poetry project.

“That one seems to sting the most. It’s very savage, and the name seems to really encapsulate my experience,” explained the mother of three, noting that the book’s title reflects her past relationship with what she considered a pretty boy. In the words of the Scream Award winner:

“I’ve only ever met musicians or actors or people who would fall into that pretty guy category, so it just represents my specific experience very well.”

Although the book of poems documents the “Transformers” actor’s failed romances, the Oak Ridge native insisted in his interview with WWD that the written work was not intended to discredit his former lover.

None of the men she wrote about are mentioned in the book, but the non-fiction work focuses on her experiences rather than the men who hurt her. In the book’s introduction, Fox reveals he has an old “savior/martyr complex” that makes him believe he is “meant to be a sacrificial goat” for his lover.

However, through her book, the “New Girl” star hopes to help others who have had the same experience as herself. “Because f—. I deserve better,” declared the Hollywood sensation. Aside from supporting those with beautiful boys, the Teen Choice Award recipient wants to leave a positive impact on her children.

The actress shares three sons – Noah, 11; Bodhi, 9; and Journey, 7 — with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, and hopes the boy will one day find his poetic narratives rewarding. In the words of a loving mother:

“I think that because I have a son, it is very important for me to raise a man who is not like the man I was with. It is very important to me to raise men who are capable of having very deep emotional intimacy with their partner.”

Megan Fox Says Her ‘Freedom’ Lives In The Pages Of Her New Book

Months before sharing her experience with the beautiful man, the “Confessions of a Teen Drama Queen” actress first announced her written work in a candid social media post. The entertainer shared stunning cover art for her poetry collection in August, featuring a black snake weaving through a feminine mouth with a lower lip ring.

“These poems were written in an effort to eradicate the disease that had taken root in me because of my silence. I’ve spent my whole life keeping men’s secrets, my body aches from bearing the weight of their sins,” Fox wrote before ending her post:

“My freedom lives on in these pages, and I hope my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and identity by using their voices to illuminate what has been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness.”
