Viewers are not satisfied with Netflix’s “The Ultimatum”.
The reality series aims to pick up right where “Love Is Blind” left off, challenging many of the ‘rules’ and rigid beliefs about relationships.
The premise of “The Ultimatum” follows a couple who may or may not be destined to walk down the aisle, with one half of the long-term couple more than willing to borrow ‘something blue.’ To strengthen their relationship, the couple split up briefly and explore the often forgotten notion of dating someone else!
Colby Kissinger and Madlyn Ballatori had been together for a year and a half before Kissinger issued an ultimatum to their relationship; she was ready to get married, while Ballatori felt more nervous about the idea of committing to someone for the rest of their lives.
Ballatori struck up a relationship with fellow contestant Randall Griffin, and her excitement to explore it further inspired fan reactions on social media (more on that later!)
Finally, both realize that they are meant for each other and start married life!
Since the first season of “The Ultimatum” ended, the two became parents to a baby girl in May.
Mr. and Mrs. Kissinger are very happy about their life together today and Colby wants to celebrate! The 25-year-old ‘father of girls’ took to Instagram early this morning to open up and share some relationship wisdom. He also expressed great love and gratitude for his wife.

A Look Back at Mr. And Mrs. Kissinger’s Relationship!
Viewers of “The Ultimatum” are a little shaken by Ballatori’s desire to explore another relationship when her man looks like he’s already thinking about the china pattern!
The Blast explores social media reactions to couples’ conflicting desires.
One Twitter user expressed their belief that math is not ‘math’ about Ballatori’s feelings.
“Okay, did I trip??,” their tweet read, “Madlyn went from being too busy with Randall, to saying she didn’t want to be with Colby, then saying yes and getting married on the same day to now 7 years old. pregnant moon???? Wtf is going on?? Did I miss an episode?? Something doesn’t add up..?”
Ballatori was also somewhat verbose about his doubts about Kissinger’s devotion to him. He would later discuss his feelings in interviews, taking responsibility and holding himself accountable for his on-camera comments.
“I looked like an idiot,” Ballatori told Variety. “It shows my grievances, but not my appreciation. In hindsight, I was like, ‘maybe I didn’t express it enough.’
Giving Thanks For His Daughter: Colby Expresses His Love For His Wife And Daughter
Practicing gratitude was not a new habit for Kissinger!
We discuss some of her public statements about parenting and her love for Ballatori as she embraces motherhood. Both parents shared an Instagram post after their daughter, Josephine, was born.
The proud papa expressed his joy at parenthood on Instagram and the media. In an interview with E!, Kissinger expressed his discomfort after holding ‘Josie’ for the first time.
“[The rush is] Something you can’t describe the feeling of just a new life coming into the world, especially when it’s your own. It was very special and a moment I will never forget,” he shared. (per The Blast)
He also expressed his excitement for mom and baby to bond, before the birth.
“They will be two little twins who will [be] troublemakers together…” Kissinger expressed. (via E!)
A few months after Josie’s birth and into the first year of their marriage, Kissinger’s love and appreciation for his wife grew stronger!
Kissinger posted a photo of the pair sharing a sweet kiss on the ‘gram, and shared a bit of his perspective on love and maintaining a relationship.
“This is a reminder,” Kissinger declared at the start of his post. “Always be grateful, because in the beginning you started with nothing. Remember to count your blessings, but also remember to take nothing for granted. Remember to show appreciation to those who are by your side and appreciate the little things they do that easily go unnoticed. Do your best to push each other while knowing each other’s limits. Be the first to apologize and pick them up when they’re sad. Be more self-aware and know when to put aside your pride #be2nd. Stay humble, be kind and encourage your partner! Remember to lead with LOVE and don’t dwell too much on what has already happened, but focus on what you can do to improve your situation…”
Kissinger also showed a lot of love to Ballatori.
