The long awaited moment in the Tory Lanez assault case involving fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion finally happened. As you may know, Lanez was accused of shooting Megan in October 2020, and the two have been fighting in court over who is telling the truth.

On Monday, December 12, the trial for the Lanez case began, and for the 2nd day of the ongoing trial, “Hot Girl Summer” appeared in court to give her testimony and tell her side of the story, and it was no doubt emotional.

However, the Texas Southern University alumnus remained unfazed as he expressed no trepidation when asked how he felt about the trial. She also had a group of fans holding a banner that read, “We Stand With Megan.”

By 12:50 PM Pacific Time, the “WAP” singer took the stand and had a heartbreaking testimony between tears. Megan recalls what happened to her, claiming that her friend Kelsey Harris and Lanez started fighting in the car, causing her to get out.

He then heard Lanez say to him, “Jansah dance” after which he pointed a gun at him. Megan claims that she started freaking out as soon as she saw the “Say It” rapper with a gun. He made sure it wasn’t his friend, Kelsey Harris, who he saw with the gun — a claim Lanez’s attorneys reportedly plan to use to fight the trial.

Megan, who has been brutally prosecuted as a result of the case, addressed the backlash she suffered on the stand. “I can’t believe I have to come here and do this,” she said with emotion. The Grammy Award winner continued, “Because I was shot, I’ve turned into some kind of villain, and he’s the victim. This has messed up my whole life.”

The 27-year-old hitmaker revealed that Lanez tried to bribe him because of his fragile status when he was on probation. He reportedly told her, “Don’t say anything and I’ll give you a million dollars,” reminding her that he was on probation. He remembers feeling weird that he was more worried about going to jail than the fact that he actually shot him.

Megan’s testimony soon turned emotional as she talked about the negative impact telling the truth about the filming had on her career and her personal life. The “She-Hulk” star lamented how she’s been torn apart by the media with so much focus on her sex life, resulting in slut-shaming.

A tearful Megan revealed that some fans had “shamed me for being a grown woman who has sex,” before stating, “I don’t understand why that matters.” He noted that talking about the ordeal puts a target on his back and makes him a joke in a misogynistic industry like rap.

Megan shared that Lanez has only benefited from the shoot while she has received a lot of criticism. “Not a day goes by that people don’t call me a liar.” He also speaks to powerful men in the rap industry who have sided with Lanez, painting him as a victim while subjecting him to misogynoir and slut-shaming.
