Meghan King’s life after her divorce from Jim Edmonds has not been smooth sailing, as she emotionally lamented the incident in a recent update.
The estranged couple married in 2014, and from that marriage, they have three Children, Aspen, Hart, and Hayes. Unfortunately, they called it off in 2019, and since then, the two have been fighting about their kids and everything.
Now, three years after the divorce, “The Real Housewives Of Orange County” alum revealed what life is like for her, saying it has been “worse.”
Meghan King Has Emotional Rage About Her Post-Divorce Life
For fans wondering how the Bravo Star is doing after her divorce from Edmonds, her new update reveals all. King shared a clip on his Instagram Story of himself with no makeup on as he tearfully expressed his feelings.
The former reality star was sitting in her home with her blonde hair roughly combed and a look of dismay on her face. “No one really talks about coercive control and the aftermath of divorce,” King said, wiping away tears. “People say, ‘It will get better in time. It will get better with time.’ It’s been three years.”
She continued, “When? What time do I have to wait? The lawyer told me that. My parents’ coordinator, everybody told me. It’s not better. It’s worse.”
After that brief emotional outburst, King decided to rid himself of the bitterness, so he cleaned out his closet. In another video on King’s Instagram story, she explained the process by saying, “So if I’m down, which I’m having a hard day, I tell myself, ‘Meg, you’ve got to pull it together. So what do you will do?’ So I did something symbolic, which was cleaning.”
She went on to share that she had her hair and makeup done, saying that’s what she needed to do to “release the bad energy and start over.” King’s anger came after Edmonds accused him of keeping their children away from her.
As we previously published, the retired baseball player first hinted at having a visit with King on his Instagram story. She posted a quote that read, “It’s sad when your ex tells your kids they don’t want to see them when you’re busy and then won’t let you see them when you’re out of town. Unknown…”
The former athlete’s rep later revealed to Page Six that the 38-year-old hired a nanny to look after their children while on retreat at Gaia Wellness instead of letting her ex-husband look after them while he was on retreat.
The spokesperson said, “Jim finds it very sad that the children were left with a babysitter instead of their father, who changed his Super Bowl plans so he could be with them. “Hopefully, Meghan is enjoying her narcissistic retreat.”
‘RHOC’ Alum Claims Ex-Husband Jim Edmonds Denies Hart’s Disease
One of the things the “Say Yes to the Dress” star seems sad about her post-divorce life is her ex-husband’s denial of their son Hart’s health.
King explained in his “Intimate Knowledge” podcast about his ex’s ignorance of Hart’s disease. “Hart has cerebral palsy, Jim,” King said before asking rhetorically, “What kind of father doesn’t know that?” The reality star went on to say that she felt “sad” for Jim because he was so closed off about the whole issue, saying it broke his heart.
Meghan elaborated on the situation, claiming that Jim had not asked about Hart’s illness nor attended any specialist appointments. She explained, “When I say that, I mean neurologist, ophthalmologist, audiologist – he never went to one IEP [Individualized Education Program] meeting. Not even one!”

Additionally, the defense attorney revealed that Jim did not even “ask to see” his son’s medical records for any confirmation of insight. Throughout the conversation, the reality star managed to keep her voice under control, but it seemed like she was upset about it all.
The mother of three continued to highlight her condition, insisting that the baseball player chose to ignore the disease. “He has access to them,” he insisted. “He had access to the diagnosis of CP. It was given to all [Hart’s] school, all the teachers. I’ve printed it out in Hart’s file sitting right next to me.”
