Meghan Markle breaks her silence on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Royal Highness passed away “peacefully” on September 8 at her beloved Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
Unfortunately, Prince Harry and Meghan were unable to make it to Balmoral Castle before the Queen’s death, but they did spend a few days in England to take part in Her Majesty the Queen’s State Funeral.

It moved from Westminster Abbey, over a mile away to Wellington Arch and finally to Windsor Castle, where he was laid to rest after 70 years as sovereign.
In a new interview with DiversityMeghan talks about her relationship with Queen Elizabeth.
Despite the drama the former royal sparked with her move to Montecito, CA, the ‘Archetypes’ podcast host had nothing but praise for her former in-laws.
Meghan said Queen Elizabeth was a “shining example” of female leadership.

When asked about His Majesty’s passing, the worldwide mourning and how it has affected her, Meghan admitted, “There has been an outpouring of love and support. I am truly grateful to be with my husband to support him, especially at that time.”
He was interested in the beauty of the queen’s eternal legacy.
“What’s beautiful is seeing the legacy he has [Prince Harry] grandma can go in many things. Of course, in terms of female leadership, she is the most shining example of what she looks like,” said the mother of two. “I feel very grateful to be able to spend time with him and get to know him. It was a complicated time, but my husband, ever the optimist, said, ‘Now she’s reunited with her husband.’”

While many outlets portrayed Meghan’s relationship with the queen as negative, toxic and awful, she told a different story.

“I’ve been reflecting on my first official engagement with him, how special it felt,” Meghan admitted. “I feel lucky. And I continue to be proud of having a good relationship with the parents of the family.”
Since the departure of Queen Elizabeth II, Meghan and Harry have focused on their various projects in the works. They signed massive deals with Netflix and Spotify.

They also continue their work with their Archewell foundation, which focuses heavily on philanthropy.
