The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle’s new podcast tops the major podcast charts, beating “Joe Rogan Experience.” The podcast released two days ago has gathered enough listeners to knock off Rogan’s podcast and topped the Spotify charts in six markets around the world, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand.
Prior to the release of his podcast, Rogan had consistently topped the charts for the past three years, despite being accused of spreading misinformation about the COVID virus.
Her long-awaited podcast, “Archetypes,” debuted with an episode that explored stereotypes faced by women and featured longtime friend and Grand Slam winner Serena Williams. The next episode will feature a conversation between Mariah Carey and Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex’s “Archetypes” has soared to the top of the main Spotify charts, ahead of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” The podcast was released on Tuesday to the delight of all fans and gathered enough listeners to dethrone the controversial commentator.
While Rogan has consistently topped the charts for three years in a row, Markle looks set to consistently topple him with her new podcast that explores how language has been weaponized against women throughout history.
In the inaugural episode, Markle invited tennis player and Grand Slam winner Serena Williams to the podcast. Both women talk about the word “Aspiration” and how it has been weaponized against career women.

“I don’t remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ‘ambitious’ until I started dating my now husband,” Markle said.
“And um, apparently ambition is, uh… a terrible thing, for a woman—according to some. So, since I’ve felt the negativity behind it, it’s hard not to feel it. I can’t let it go. , either , in the millions of girls and women who make themselves smaller — much smaller — regularly.”

Social media erupted with reaction following Markle’s rise to the charts. While some have praised the Duchess for beating Rogan at his own game, others feel that popularity may soon wane.

He Debuts ‘Archetypes’ On Tuesday

The former “Suits” actress debuted her podcast on Tuesday. However, in March, he hinted to fans about what they should expect from his “Archetypes” podcast.
“This is Archetypes, a podcast where we dissect, explore and subvert the labels that try to hold women back,” she begins the 90-second clip.
“I’m going to have conversations with women who know very well how this type shaped our narrative. And I’m going to talk with historians to understand how we got here in the first place.”
The Duchess continued, “This is how we talk about women: the words that raise our girls, and how the media reflects women to us, but where do these stereotypes come from? And how do they continue to emerge and define our lives?”
Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Announce Return To UK

The couple will return to the UK in the first week of September for a number of charity engagements. The four-day trip included a visit to a charity in Britain, marking the couple’s return to the country since their Platinum Jubilee in June.
“Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were delighted to visit with a number of charities close to their hearts in early September,” a spokesperson confirmed for the pair (per News Week.)
The first stop is at the One Young World 2022 summit on September 5. The organization focuses on empowering youth to become leaders in their communities.

They will also detour to the 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany, culminating in the 2022 WellChild Awards. These awards celebrate the critical achievements of children across Britain.
