The singer recently took to social media to explain the lyrics to her hit song, “Mother” and why it’s directed at “the dumbest man in the world” who has something to say about her career and choices.

The “Made You Look” singer shared a video on Instagram with an explanation written on it that explains the lyrics to her latest song, “Mother.”
“I wrote this song for all the stupid men in the world who have tried to tell me what kind of songs I should write, what career choices I should make, and have talked to me like I don’t know what I’m doing,” he wrote. The caption completed her explanation saying, “And having a baby will end my career?? #iamyourmother #mother #23weekspregnant.”
Many words of support filled the post. Many of Trainor’s fans took to the comments section to leave their thoughts on the song “Mother” and critics have spewed the nonsense that inspired the song.
“?Talented ?brilliant ?amazing?show stopping ?amazing?never the same?truly unique?completely never done before?not afraid to be referenced or not referenced ?,” wrote one.
“I really admire that you have a family while actively pursuing your career. You don’t see that much in show biz. Way to go for blazing your own trail ??,” said another fan.

The Grammy Award-winning singer, 29, is mother to Riley, 2, with actor husband Daryl Sabara, and is currently expecting her second child. Despite what critics may say, Trainor’s career is going well, actually thriving, and while being an active, pregnant mom!
Not only is she filming “Australian Idol” as a judge, but she’s also preparing to release her first book, “Dear Future Mama: A TMI Guide to Pregnancy, Birth, and Motherhood from Your Bestie.”
The book is described on Amazon as “the real conversation you want to have about pregnancy, birth, body image and the newborn days” from Trainor’s point of view, and will be released on April 25.

Trainor has no plans to stop her career or add to her growing family. Currently 24 weeks pregnant with baby number two, Trainor has said that she wants to have four children.
“I am very grateful that I can get pregnant. And I was like, ‘I crushed it. This is unusual. This is my dream,’” she told PEOPLE in January, after announcing she was pregnant. “I’m halfway there — I want four kids!”
Trainor says this time, things are different for her.
“It’s like a real pregnancy. The first kind of make-believe. I had no symptoms with Riley so I was like, ‘We need to go to the doctor. There is nothing in me.’ I got my symptoms late in my pregnancy with Riley,” she said. “I got it right away with this baby.”
