Melania Trump’s former aide, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, has slammed the reported reasons for her absence from the campaign trail as “sad.”
Wolkoff was a close confidant of Melania and was first hired as first lady in 2016, but their relationship fell apart, and the former aide was forced to leave the White House in 2018.

The whole incident happened after an anonymous source told The Independent Last Saturday that the reason Melania was absent from her husband, the Trump campaign trail was because she had been “betrayed by her staff” during her first stay in the White House.
The source cited the 2020 book “Melania and Me,” by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who is said to be Melania’s former “best friend” and her first hire after Trump’s 2016 election victory.
That “reason” doesn’t seem to sit well with Wolkoff, who has now taken to X (formerly Twitter) to slam it as “deplorable.”
“AUDACITY!” Wolkoff wrote. “For any human being to make an EXCUSE for Melania Trump not to campaign with Donald because she ‘felt betrayed by her staff’ is SAD.”
