On Monday, March 6, the social media influencer wrote, “As I continue to grieve and reflect, I can tell you one thing. Damn this is so hard! Every day, I feel so many emotions without stopping. Extreme loss, disbelief, confusion, anxiety and fear are just a few… Yes, I said fear… the amount of bullying and hate these past few months has been insane. Every day, Prince and I get hate mail and mean comments, endless prank calls, and even death threats. Yes, there were literal death threats against not only me, but Aaron and my son!!! Crazy little boy, for god’s sake!!!!!”
He berates anyone who believes this kind of behavior is acceptable.

“It seems like there are a lot of people out there who think this is funny or acceptable behavior. FYI, IT’S NOT!!!!! And like any responsible mom, I am taking the death threats seriously, reporting them to the FBI.. .the same sickening behavior that led to the decline of love life is now directed at my family and I. I feel so helpless witnessing Aaron’s bullying and I will accept it. I will plead with him to get off the social media platform where cyber bullying happens a lot , but he feels he owes it to his fans to stay online. Aaron’s fans are everything to him, he loves them so much. They are his world, and I not only understand that but respect that,” his message continued. “I understand that someone as special as Aaron is a gift to the world. Unfortunately, I can’t fully understand the severity of the bullying that happens, because Aaron would try to protect me from it as much as possible (the fragments of his life that I saw scared me). It got so bad that Aaron spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a private investigator and didn’t tell me for the longest time.”
Melanie Wishes She Could Go Away, But She Can’t!
Martin dives into how Aaron’s bullies have turned their attention to him.
“Unfortunately I now have to experience all these bullies firsthand. It’s as if everything Aaron deals with on a daily basis is just transferred to me, like a. a new mental punch for the bully to aim for. And just like Aaron, I can just disappear,” explained Martin. “There is a part of me that wants to do it. But I can’t. First of all, I have to protect Aaron’s legacy and have to provide for the Prince. Although Aaron’s estate will be passed on to the Prince, people seem to be unaware of the complicated situation that comes with the estate. Even though it is still in probate, there is no money available to provide for the many expenses that come with a child…some examples of expenses are diapers, food, health care, learning tools, etc. … and conveniently, prices for everything have skyrocketed…”
He revealed that he did everything to keep any money from Aaron’s estate untouched for the sake of his son.
“Too much is at stake for Prince for me to just disappear… I must be strong for Prince… but that doesn’t mean I will remain silent on the ongoing cyberbullying crisis our society faces,” she wrote.
