The ex-wife of Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates is back in a relationship with a new man.
And… the identity of his new love interest is no mystery.

Melinda is dating former Fox News Channel reporter Jon Du Pre. This is her first reported relationship since finalizing her divorce from Bill last August.
According to reports, Melinda and Jon were spotted together at the Nets vs. Celtics in April, so we can assume they’ve been talking and seeing each other for the past seven months.
It’s unclear how they first met, but things seem to be going well for the new couple.
Melinda, Jon and some of their family members recently hung out at Pelican Hill, which is a five-star hotel in Newport Beach.

Jon worked for Fox News Channel in the late 90s and early 2000s.
While Melinda is clearly starting fresh as a 58-year-old single woman, Bill on the other hand is still hung up on his ex-wife.
In May, Explosion reported the tech billionaire’s intention to remarry Melinda despite their divorce.

“Every marriage when the children leave home will go through a transition. I am sad to go through this transition called divorce,” he told the outlet.
Last year, Microsoft’s CEO published a year-end blog post in which he talked about his divorce.
“I know a lot of people want to know about a subject closer to home: my divorce,” he said. “I cannot deny that it has been a year of great personal sadness for me. Adapting to change is never easy, no matter what it is. I am amazed at how resilient my loved ones—especially my children—are during these challenging times.”
Despite the challenges of divorce, Gates told Sunday Times, “But from my point of view it was a great marriage. I won’t change it. You know, I wouldn’t choose another marriage.”

Gates doesn’t plan to walk down the aisle a second time, unless he’s walking down the aisle to remarry Melinda.
“I am [would] married Melinda again. In terms of my future, I have no plans, but I highly recommend marriage,” he added.
Melinda and Gates married in ’94 after dating for seven years. They have three children together, Jennifer (26), Phoebe (20) and Rory (23).
At the time of their divorce in May 2021, the former couple released a statement that read, “After much thought and much effort into our relationship, we have decided to end our marriage. We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”
Their divorce was finalized in August 2021.
