Melissa Joan Hart has spilled more tea about her relationship with Ryan Reynolds that never followed through!
Reynolds and Hart met in 1996 for the film, “Sabrina The Teenage Witch,” which saw the latter playing the titular character opposite the former, who portrayed her on-screen love interest, Seth. In addition to the film turning into a spin-off series that ran for seven seasons from 1996 to 2003, the screen stars made sure that their roles were manifested in the real world, even though Reynolds was not part of the series’ cast.

Hart reminisced about his relationship with Reynolds when he joined hosts David Lascher and Christine Taylor for Wednesday’s episode of their podcast. While there, he recalls meeting the “Deadpool” star with his teen drama “Fifteen” co-star Chris William Martin – also referred to as Corky Martin.

Before having a proper conversation with the two, the actress told them that even though she had been dating Martin, she also had a “little thing.” The “Dead Nine” cast revealed more to “Hey Dude… The 90s Called!” host:
“I met Corky… in Utah, or something on Nick Takes Over Your School [event], and we started phone dating from Vancouver to Orlando. And then I worked on Ryan Reynolds on the first Sabrina [the Teenage Witch] movie. The first movie we made, Ryan was in it.”
This isn’t the first time Hart has spoken out about his time with Reynolds, stating in 2017 that he regretted not getting more serious with her when he had the chance.
At the time, she claimed they were “smitten and cute,” with the now 46-year-old being “adorable” and “a really nice guy.” In a separate conversation when he was 19, Hart said:
“He’s not the Ryan Reynolds that everyone knows today. You can see, in the clip, crazy hair. She’s sweet – she’s so sweet.”
She later explained in her 2013 book, “Melissa Explains It All: Tales from My Abnormally Normal Life,” that their relationship was not written in the stars because she “had a boyfriend at the time.”
Despite that, the now 46-year-old “chased her, got in front of her car and just kissed her and then made out with her all night.” Reynolds, who was 19 at the time, had presented her with a Bulova watch earlier that day.
The “Free Guy” cast took things up a notch by visiting him in New York to see if they could do it. However, she decided “to stay” with her then-boyfriend. Although her childhood ambition didn’t work out, Hart created her own fairytale ending, marrying singer Mark Wilkerson in 2003.

While clearly not shying away from questions about the newborn’s name or gender, the actress revealed that her family is “very excited” about the addition. He later admitted to Kelly Evans and Tyler Mathisen that he and Lively “wouldn’t have done this four times if we didn’t like it,” adding that everyone was “being nice.” Then, in true Reynolds fashion, American Aviation Gin stakeholders joked:
“It’s a zoo over here. This is my office right here,” referring to the kitchen where he joins the broadcast, before concluding, “Honestly, I’ll probably spend the rest of my life here.”
Fans have extended their well-wishes to the parents of four after Lively posted a photo of herself without her baby bump on Instagram during Super Bowl LVIU weekend.
