A 19-year-old gun-toting man has reportedly been arrested in Mexico after he was allegedly seen walking down the street holding his sister’s severed head.
Terrified onlookers called the Michoacán State Police after seeing the suspect, identified only as Sebastián, holding the head of his 26-year-old sister Julieta near a clinic in Quiroga on Saturday, local newspaper AM reported.
Officers arrested the apparently intoxicated man without incident and confiscated the rifle he was carrying, according to the report, which cited the state prosecutor’s office.
They found her sister’s naked body lying in a gas station a few hundred feet away.
Authorities are investigating a possible motive for the horrific crime.
No information was immediately available on the charges the suspect faces while he is being held by the Michoacán state prosecutor’s office.

The alleged murder of the woman is reminiscent of another incident in Mexico where Lev Norman was arrested for allegedly carrying the head of Lucero Yazmin Hidalgo in a backpack in October 2022.
