Canadian singer Michael Bublé has opened up about the success of his marriage to Luisana Lopilato, saying that focusing on the other partner’s satisfaction is important.

Bublé and Lopilato’s marriage has had its fair share of tests as they both go through the news of their son’s battle with cancer. The couple’s eldest son was diagnosed with liver cancer after being hospitalized in an accident.

The singer, in 2011, married Lopilato in two separate weddings held in Argentina and Canada, and the two share four children together.

While talking to Red magazinethe singer revealed that their happy marriage is due to their focus on fulfillment.

Bublé states that in order to maintain a successful relationship, he and his wife, Lopilato, understand the importance of fulfilling the other partner.

“More than anything, my wife and I understand that each other’s satisfaction is important,” the singer said in the March 2023 issue Red Magazine per Many people.

“I’m not saying we’re perfect; no one, but we both have that understanding,” he added.

The couple married in two separate weddings held in Argentina and Canada in 2011. They both have children: Noah, 9; Elijah, 7; Vida, 4; and Cielo, who is just five months old.

The “For Once In My Life” hitmaker explained that when his wife, an actress by trade, is on set, he takes on the role of “dad on set,” and when it’s his turn (to go on tour), he responds.

“We don’t care what we do — togetherness is the goal,” he said.

The musician shared that learning that his first child, Noah, had hepatoblastoma in 2016 left him feeling “very unstable and vulnerable.”

“I didn’t know it at the time, but mentally I was very unstable and vulnerable. I’m making a safe record with a producer I like, and I’m just trying to protect myself and stick to a career,” he said.

The singer went on to add, “But I feel so good now, and I want to go – like this great weight has been lifted from me. My son is healthy, my children and my wife are good, and life is good. Why do I not just blow up, want to make an incredible record?”

Bublé, 47, discusses how his son’s battle with cancer forced him to change his priorities and general outlook on life.

“That, of course, changed me in a big way, it changed what was important to me, it changed the way I looked at life,” said the “Totally Blonde” actress.

“Throughout my life as a performer, especially on stage, I will be my alter ego. I will be the superhero I want to be. Then my wife and I went through this unthinkable thing, and I lost that alter ego,” he explained.

Bublé, in a September appearance at It’s Gaby Roslin podcast, revealed that he almost closed the curtain on his career altogether to focus on his role as a father to his children.

“I don’t think I really like it. I think I’m getting closer to thinking maybe I can go and be a father,” he said at the time.

The singer is billed to continue his UK arena tour and will step away from dad duties from January to June, each Many people.
