A Milwaukee bar has run a really cool promotion that rewards patrons with free booze every time the Jets lose — and now it’s up to Zach Wilson’s failed replacement quarterback.
The owner of Jack’s American Pub has amended its “Jets Lose, You Win” season promotion after the Gang Green lost their savior quarterback, former Packer great Aaron Rodgers, to a season-ending injury Monday night. Now they will reward customers anytime Jets win game.
“We’re hedging our bets, but we want to go ahead with it because we’ve got so much attention leading up to Monday’s game that we think it’s going to be great – win or lose,” said Ryan Cooke, the bar’s director of operations.

Once Rodgers was sacked and carried off the field during Monday’s game, some of the roughly 300 spectators watching at Jack’s cheered. Many with a bar tab started drinking booze assuming Wilson would use his turnover-prone ways of the past, the Jets would lose to the Buffalo Bills, and the drinks would be on the house.

“It was like someone was pulling the air out of a balloon,” Cooke said, describing the horrified atmosphere in the pub when customers realized they had to pay.
