Fans of the singer-songwriter, who have been on edge since her ex-fiancé Avril Lavigne confirmed her romance with Tyga, finally got a chance to show their displeasure. To that end, they hurled obscenities at the “Ayy Macarena” songstress during the Sun’s New York City show on Wednesday night.

The drama began after rapper Travie McCoy took the stage during Mod’s Wednesday night show at Irving Plaza to perform. However, before he and his band — Gym Class Heroes — could begin rolling out their 2005 hit, “Cupid’s Chokehold,” the former lead singer called Sun one of the “most loyal” people he knew.

The 41-year-old musician finished his speech by yelling, “F**k Tyga!” surprised Sun, who immediately ran from the platform backstage as the crowd began chanting expletives at Tyga, per TMZ.
While the “Flames” singer didn’t participate in the mob action directly, it’s safe to assume he felt the same way. Fans will recall that a previous report by The Blast stated that the 36-year-old celebrity has been nursing a broken heart since Lavigne dumped him last month.
In fact, things took a turn for the worse for her emotionally after she saw pictures of her ex and new flame PDA-loaded during Paris Fashion Week. As it turns out, the location is the same place he proposed to Lavigne almost a year ago, showing Sun that he doesn’t treasure their memories as much as she does.
