Model Paulina Porizkova Hits The Pool In Her Animal-Print Bikini

Now that she has a new man in her life, it’s been a minute since Paulina Porizkova shared a bikini photo.

However, she has shared many selfies in recent weeks as she continues her discussion about aging in the public eye. In her latest Instagram post shared on Friday afternoon, the “No Filter: The Good, The Bad, and The Beautiful” author got candid about playing the “comparison game” with one of her Instagram friends.

On Friday afternoon, Paulina shared a photo of herself sitting by the pool in an animal print bikini. Her long hair was tied back from her face as she dipped her bare feet into the edge of the pool. Ludwig, the dog, was sleeping on a beach towel next to her. “I just saw my IG friend’s post, a body picture where her body looks unbelievable. She’s close to my age, but doesn’t have any lumps or lumps or loose skin,” she captioned her Instagram post.

“And my first reaction was, ‘Holy cow, she looks great’. My second thought was ‘She must be working hard to stay in shape’. And my third thought was to congratulate myself. ‘I’m not jealous at all!’” she revealed.

‘In the past, I would initially make the inevitable millisecond comparison, feel ashamed for not measuring up, and then deal with my shame and envy. Which will manifest either to bring the woman down (in my head- not online!) or to humiliate myself,” he explained. “When we make comparisons, we also judge. Both are programmed into us and exacerbated by society.”

“Understanding I can’t help but compare and therefore judge, I make a conscious choice to judge generously instead of wasting my energy NOT feeling that way,” she wrote. “And it turns out- it works! But like a muscle you’ve been neglecting for a long time, it’s a slow process. It took me from the early fifties to now to get here.”

“But after years of making a deliberate choice to see other women in CELEBRATION who they want to be and how they present themselves, it’s finally automatic. And guess whose day is better for him?” she asked, closing her post with the hashtags “Between JLo and Betty White” and “Older Is Bolder.” She also tagged her boyfriend, “Will & Grace” showrunner Jeff Greenstein, for the photo.

In the comments, fans had nothing but positive things to say about Paulina’s caption and her thought process behind the “comparison game” and how to end it. “Changing the way women look at women. We need to be aware of each other, a lot will change through this one action,” commented a fan.

“There is no need to compare yourself. We are our worst critics when we look at our pictures and know exactly where the lumps and bumps are. I for one think you look great. I don’t have the confidence or the body to post pool pictures,” shared another follower. “Also remember there are filters and lighting and adjustments that can be made directly on the phone; you know that from your career. Keep doing you! Hope everything goes smoothly.”

“Wow, I really like that approach to looking at judgmental habits. I grew up with very judgmental parents. It is very difficult for me to stop that habit towards others and especially myself. I really like this approach to look with generosity and kindness. Thank you,” a third fan chimed in.

“When I experience self-doubt – I remind myself how much my body does for me. My legs and feet take me where I need to go, my arms are strong and loving and always reach out, and sometimes inward to love myself myself,” shared another follower. “My heart holds my hope dreams of creativity and determination and my mind is the door to find and absorb knowledge and wisdom.”

“I used to hate my imperfections- now I see they are what make me unique! It’s a work in progress for sure… but when you start to hold yourself in awe of the same love you have for others… life and all its perspectives transform into something self-loving and wonderful,” they continued. “As always, love your complexities and weaknesses. Thank you.”
