Mom-to-be ‘doesn’t care’ about potential side effects of taking Ozempic while breastfeeding: ‘Didn’t sign up for this’

A mother-to-be has claimed she’s turning to Ozempic to lose weight after she gained 40 pounds over the past few months.

Linda Andrade, an American housewife married to a billionaire in Dubai, shared an entry on her TikTok channel @lionlindaa this week.

She also claims she “doesn’t care” about the possible side effects on her child if she chooses to breastfeed.

“I did not sign up for this”

Linda, also known as “The Original Dubai Housewife,” admits in the clip that she’s been feeling down about her weight recently.

The influencer, who is nine months pregnant said, “Nobody warned me, and I definitely didn’t sign up for this.”

Of the clip of her dining at Dubai’s fanciest restaurants and being pampered at a spa where facials start at $2,000 ($1,300 US) she says, “This is a big sacrifice for me.”

“I like my body and I don’t like gaining weight,” she added.

Then came the shocking revelation – Linda planned to use Ozempic injections after she gave birth to her daughter, something she said people “judged” her for.

“Once your baby arrives, nothing else matters”

Ozempic is a prescription drug currently used to treat people with type 2 diabetes.

When people warned her about the potential dangers of taking medication while breastfeeding, she replied, “I just gained 40 pounds, that’s a bigger issue.”

She also said that planning future weight loss is something that makes her feel better “about being fat.”

Naturally, people had a lot to say about her candid comments, like this person, who wrote: “She cares more about Ozempic than her baby.”

Others told her to just “diet and exercise,” while others said, “Once your baby is here, nothing else matters.”

Meanwhile, her fans made sure to tell her that she’s beautiful just the way she is, in all her pregnant glory.

“You’re great. You’re not fat,” said one user.

“If I’m pregnant, I want to look like you,” claimed another.

According to Ozempic, “It is not known whether Ozempic passes into breast milk,” but they urge people “not to use Ozempic if you are breastfeeding.”

And according to The Mayo Clinic, “There are not enough studies in women to determine the risk to the baby when using this drug while breastfeeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this drug while breastfeeding. Always consult your doctor before use.”
