More than half of voters believe former President Donald Trump should be removed from the 2024 ballot if he is convicted in at least one of the four criminal cases against him, according to a new poll.
A NewsNation Headquarters and Decision Desk poll released Monday found 57% majority support disqualifies the 2024 Republican presidential front-runner, but the results fell sharply across party lines.
Among Democrats, 85% support Trump’s disqualification if convicted, while only 29% of Republicans say the same.
Trump faces a total of 91 charges in four criminal cases – and up to 712 years and six months in prison if convicted of all.
This summer, a federal grand jury indicted the former president on his alleged efforts to interfere in the 2020 election and his retention of classified material after leaving office.

He has also been indicted in Georgia on allegations that he conspired to overturn the 2020 election results in the Peach State, and in Manhattan on charges related to alleged hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.
The poll of 3,200 registered voters, taken between Nov. 26 and Nov. 27, is ahead of the fourth GOP primary debate, which will air on NewsNation Wednesday.
Trump, 77, will not attend the event, which is likely to feature only three candidates in the GOP field – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Among Democrats, Christie received 8% support, while he only had 3% support among members of his own party, the poll found.
